An adjusting device for a vehicle seat may have a first adjustable assembly, a second adjustable assembly, and an electric motor. The electric motor may be operatively connected both to an adjustment gearing of the first adjustable assembly as well as to an adjustment gearing of the second adjustable assembly by at least one output shaft. A motor support may be provided which receives the electric motor, and the motor support may be secured to the two adjustable assemblies via a respective adapter. The motor support may have a metal material as a single piece. The adapters may be made of a non-metal material. A method for assembling the adjusting device may include first securing the adapters to the respective paired adjustable assembly. The motor support may be connected to the adapters in an additional step.

A gear unit (G) includes a gear housing () with at least one locking component (') for a form and/or force-locking mounting of an electric motor () to the gear unit (G). The locking component (&#x2032;) is configured as a circumferential edge or flange collar (), in which a number of undercuts (&#x2032;) are incorporated, in which the electric motor () can be locked by a form or force-locking connection. The gear housing () includes an additional locking unit () as an additional radial stop, which locking unit can be pressed into the locking component () to achieve a locked state. An electric gear motor (GM) includes at least one electric motor () and the gear unit (G). The locking component (&#x2032;) can be form and/or force-lockingly connected to the motor locking element (A, A&#x2032;). A seat (S) includes the electric gear motor (GM).

An energy absorber () for a vehicle seat (), in particular for a linear adjuster () of the vehicle seat (), includes a deformation element (). The deformation element () is deformable by forces occurring in a vehicle collision. The energy absorber () includes a bending element () that releases the deformation element (). Upon achieving a bending load acting on the bending element (), the bending element () bends and the bending element () thereby releases the deformation element () to a lesser extent. A linear adjuster () for a vehicle seat () is also provided, having the energy absorber (). Further, a vehicle seat () is provided having at least such one linear adjuster ().

A fastening arrangement (B'), for fastening of an electric motor () to a seat (S), includes a motor retaining element (F, F) and a motor locking element (A). The motor retaining element (F, F) is configured such that the electric motor () is adjustable into a rotational position (D). The motor locking element (A) is configured such that the electric motor () can be locked in a set rotational position (D). The motor locking element (A) is configured such that the electric motor () is retained so as to be non-displaceable in an axial direction and is secured against rotation by a torque lock. The motor locking element (A) has a polygonal profile (P). The outer profile of the motor locking element (A) has multiple surfaces distributed uniformly over the circumference, which surfaces form the shape of a polygon.

An actuator () for a motor vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle seat, includes an electric motor () that is equipped with an output shaft () and a gear mechanism () that is connected to the output shaft (). The gear mechanism () is provided with a gear mechanism housing (). A gear mechanism retaining device () supports the gear mechanism housing () in such a way that the housing can swivel about a swivel axis (). A shaft section () of the gear mechanism housing () that is flush with the swivel axis () is surrounded at least in part by a retaining bracket () of the gear mechanism retaining device (). The output shaft () is located outside the retaining bracket ().

A reduction gear includes a housing () and gear stages with an externally toothed first gear wheel (), and an internally toothed second gear wheel (), meshing with the first gear wheel, and rotationally fixed to an output (). The first gear wheel is moved circularly by an eccentric (). A torque support disc prevents the first gear wheel rotating relative to the housing. The first gear wheel has a guide pin which engages in a guide groove of the torque support disc, or the torque support disc has a guide pin, which engages in a guide groove of the first gear wheel. The first gear wheel has a base body with a cam or the torque support disc has a base part with a cam which projects in the axial direction and contacts the torque support disc whereby the guide pin does not completely engage in the guide groove.

Noise loads and buckling effects are avoided even after a relatively long period of operation, with a spring element () prestressing the planet gears () in the direction of the axis of rotation onto the fitting lower part () or fitting upper part ().

Fitting for an adjustment device of a motor vehicle seat

A seat fitting for a motor vehicle seat, with a fitting lower part which is connectable to a seat lower part, a fitting upper part which is connectable to a seat back, an eccentric epicyclic gearing which connects the fitting upper part and fitting lower part in an articulated manner and is intended for adjusting the inclination of the fitting upper part in relation to the fitting lower part, and an actuating mechanism for coupling the seat fitting to a seat longitudinal guide. The fitting upper part has a pivoting body. The actuating mechanism is formed by an unlocking lever. The pivoting body substantially completely shifts the unlocking lever into the unlocking position irrespective of the inclination to which the fitting upper part is set.
