The present invention relates to polyamide microcapsules. A process for the preparation of polyamide microcapsules is also an object of the invention. Perfuming compositions and consumer products comprising said microcapsules, in particular perfumed consumer products in the form of home care or personal care products, are also part of the invention.

Polyamide microcapsules

Described herein is a process for a preparation of microcapsules based on cleavable multi-alcohols. Also described herein are cleavable multi-alcohol-based microcapsules. Also described herein are perfuming compositions and consumer products including such capsules, in particular perfumed consumer products in the form of home care or personal care products.

Cleavable multi-alcohol-based microcapsules

Described herein is a perfuming composition including at least two pro-perfume compounds selected from: a pro-perfume compound releasing a perfume compound upon exposure to light, a pro-perfume compound releasing a perfume compound upon exposure to air/oxygen, a pro-perfume compound releasing a perfume compound upon exposure to heat, a pro-perfume compound releasing a perfume compound upon exposure to moisture, and a pro-perfume compound releasing a perfume compound upon exposure to enzymes. Also described herein is a perfumed consumer product including such a perfuming composition, as well as the use of the perfuming composition for improving, enhancing, conferring, and/or modifying the fragrance impression and/or fragrance intensity of a consumer product.

Pro-perfume compositions

Described herein are compounds of formula (I) that are able to provide a long-lasting or substantive odor, in particular floral and/or fruity odor, to the environment. Also described herein is a method of imparting a long-lasting odor, in particular a fresh green, floral and/or fruity odor, to surfaces, such as hard surfaces, fabric, skin or hair. Also described herein are a method of using said compounds in perfumery and perfuming compositions or perfumed articles including the compounds described herein.

Compounds for providing a long-lasting floral and fruity odor

Cleavable surfactants of formula (I) having a total hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of between 3 and 18 and wherein A is a group capable of releasing a flavor or fragrance aldehyde of formula (R)CHO or a flavor or fragrance ketone of formula (R)(R)CO and is of formula wherein the wavy line indicates the location of the bond between L and A; Rand Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a saturated or unsaturated C-Chydrocarbon group, provided that at least one of the Ror Rgroups has 6 consecutive carbon atoms and that both Rand Rtaken together comprise a maximum of 18 carbon atoms; and L is a linear, branched or cyclic, saturated or unsaturated Cto Chydrocarbon group. These surfactants solubilize and/or stabilize flavor and fragrance aldehydes and ketones in an aqueous environment and at the same time to control their release by hydrolysis.

Cleavable surfactant

The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns compounds comprising at least one &#x3b2;-thio carbonyl or nitrile moiety capable of liberating an active molecule selected from an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated ketone, aldehyde or nitrile. The present invention concerns also the use of said compounds in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's compounds. (I) wherein: a) m represents an integer from 1 to 6; b) Pro represents a hydrogen atom or a group susceptible of generating an odoriferous &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated ketone, aldehyde or nitrile and is represented by the formulae (II) or (II') in which the wavy line indicates the location of the bond between said Pro and the sulfur atom S; and at least one of the Pro groups is of the formula (II) or (II&#x2032;). 

Compounds for a controlled release of active perfuming molecules

The present invention relates to water-dispersible microcapsules that include an oil phase, e.g. a perfume, containing a photolabile compound capable of generating a gas upon exposure to light. The gas is able to cause an extension or the breaking of the microcapsule allowing the release of the oil phase and thus increasing the long-lastingness of the odor perception. The present invention concerns also the use of such microcapsules in perfumery as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles that include such microcapsules therein to provide a prolonged release of fragrant molecules.

Microcapsules containing a gas-releasing photolabile compound and uses thereof

A method for releasing one or more active volatile aldehydes or ketones from a delivery system based on photosensitive acetal or ketal compounds capable of liberating upon exposure to light an active volatile carbonyl compound in a controlled manner from a surface into the surrounding environment. The delivery system can be used to release active substances such as flavors, fragrances, malodor counteractants, insect attractants or insect repellents. The invention also relates to the use of such acetal or ketal compounds in perfumery, as well as in perfuming compositions or perfumed consumer articles.

Photolabile acetal and ketal compounds for the controlled release of active volatile carbonyl compounds

The present invention relates to a delivery system based on photosensitive acetal or ketal compounds capable of liberating upon exposure to light an active volatile carbonyl compound in a controlled manner from a surface into the surrounding. The delivery system can be used to release active substances such as flavors, fragrances, malodor counteractants, insect attractants or insect repellents. The invention also relates to the use of said acetal or ketal compounds in perfumery, as well as in perfuming compositions or perfumed consumer articles.

The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns co-polymers, derived from aspartic acid and comprising at least one &#x3b1;- or &#x3b2;-aspartic acid derivative capable of liberating an active molecule such as, for example, an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated ketone or aldehyde. The present invention concerns also the use of polymers or co-polymers in perfumery as part of a perfuming or malodor counteracting composition, as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's compounds.
