In one embodiment, a dual configuration aircraft lavatory includes a plurality of walls enclosing and defining a lavatory interior space, wherein one of the walls is coextensive with a portion of the cabin. Within the lavatory interior space are a toilet, a washing station and a waste receptacle movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the waste receptacle is attached to a wall of the lavatory between the washing station and a door wall. In the second position, the waste receptacle occupies a second predetermined volume of space in the aircraft cabin separated from a first predetermined volume of space occupied by the waste receptacle in the first position. Moving the waste receptacle from the first position to the second position reveals additional space within the lavatory sufficient so that two adult humans simultaneously fit within the lavatory interior space.

Dual configuration lavatory with assist space

An interior space for an aircraft includes a cockpit, a cockpit wall separating the cockpit from the remaining interior space, a cabin door arranged directly behind the cockpit wall for accessing the interior space of the aircraft from outside the fuselage, a modular installation space for installation equipment, a plurality of seat rows, a longitudinal aisle extending along the interior space through the seat rows to separate adjacent groups of seats from each other, and an access path for the cabin door. The access path extends from the cabin door to the longitudinal aisle to create an intersection region between the access path and the longitudinal aisle. The modular installation space is arranged directly forward of the seat rows. The access path extends at an angle of at least 100&#xb0; to the longitudinal aisle in a forward direction.

Forward interior space arrangement for an aircraft

A cabin segment for a vehicle includes a first lateral segment module having a first main extension axis, a second lateral segment module having a second main extension axis, and an aisle arranged in the cabin segment. The main extension axes parallel to each other, and the first and second lateral segment modules are distanced from each other in a direction perpendicular to the main extension axes and enclose the aisle, which runs parallel to the main extension axes. At least one of the first lateral segment module and the second lateral segment module includes a lavatory accessible through a lavatory opening positioned outside the aisle. A fastening system for fastening fitments to a floor of a cabin of a vehicle has a receiving frame, a cantilever mounted on the receiving frame so as to be pivotable on a pivoting plane defined by the receiving frame, and having a mounting end and a fastening end, a first fastening element, and a multiplicity of second fastening elements. The first fastening element is arranged at the fastening end of the cantilever. The second fastening elements are positionable on the floor. The first fastening element is configured in a manner corresponding to the second fastening elements such that the first fastening element is mechanically connectable selectively to a second fastening element. A pivoting position of the cantilever is lockable relative to the receiving frame.

Fastening system for fastening fitments to a floor of a cabin of a vehicle

A door assembly for a vehicle. The door assembly includes a door frame, a door panel, a rotating strut, and a linear door guide. The door opens and closes through a combination of rotating and sliding motion, which minimizes the required operational footprint. The strut is mounted on the door panel such that the strut is hidden from view when the door is in an open position.

A floor arrangement for a cabin of a vehicle, in particular of an aircraft or spacecraft, comprises a carrier plate formed with a multiplicity of first fastening perforations and a multiplicity of reinforcing notches. The first fastening perforations are arranged one behind another in fastening rows at a uniform longitudinal distance. The fastening rows are oriented parallel at a uniform transverse distance from one another at an angle of orientation of 45&#xb0; with respect to a longitudinal direction of the floor arrangement. The reinforcing notches run along the angle of orientation in a manner offset with respect to the fastening rows. A floor panel is formed with a multiplicity of second fastening perforations and is arranged above the carrier plate such that the second fastening perforations are arranged above the first fastening perforations to fasten cabin elements through the floor panel to the carrier plate.

A monument arrangement for a cabin of a vehicle has a first monument, with a washroom formed therein, a second monument and an aisle. The distance between the access opening and the relevant side wall of the second monument is at most 1 m, and the side wall of the second monument has a first, rigid side wall portion and at least one second side-wall portion, which is mounted on the first side wall portion such that it can be pivoted about a vertical axis and which can be pivoted from a neutral position, running in the direction toward the first side wall portion, into an angled position, directed away from the first monument and the aisle.

A cabin monument for an aircraft includes a floor panel, which forms a base surface of the cabin monument, and a surrounding sidewall which defines an interior space of the cabin monument. The surrounding sidewall is assembled from a first wall part and a second wall part which is coupled to this. Provision is made on at least one of the wall parts for a fixing section which is overlapped by the floor panel. Also described is an aircraft which features such a cabin monument.

A wall module for a cabin of a vehicle for separation of different cabin regions comprises a lower wall section having a fastener for fastening the wall module to a structurally fixed component fixed to the floor in the cabin, a surface-like rigid upper wall section converging with the lower wall section having a second fastener in a region of the wall module facing away from the lower wall section for fastening the wall module to a structurally fixed component fixed to the ceiling in the cabin. An arrangement for selectively arresting a serving trolley in a cabin includes a walling extending perpendicularly to a cabin floor. The walling has a height at least equal to the height of a serving trolley. The arrangement has an upper arresting unit positioned at an upper fastening section of the walling and a lower arresting unit positioned at a lower fastening section of the walling. The upper arresting unit has a first engagement element and a second engagement element, wherein at least one of the engagement elements is movable relative to the other engagement element. The upper arresting unit releasably engages two distanced recesses at an upper end of the serving trolley by way of the engagement elements. The lower arresting unit includes at least one third engagement element and is designed for engaging a bottom side component of the serving trolley by way of the third engagement element.

A vehicle cabin arrangement includes first and second intersecting aisles, a first walling of a cabin monument bordering the first aisle, and a second walling bordering the second aisle. The wallings extend from the floor region of the cabin to a ceiling region of the cabin, and form an angle less than 180&#xb0;. A first access opening is arranged in the first walling and is closable through a first door, and a second access opening is arranged in the second walling and is closable with a second door. A door blocking unit has blocking means designed for preventing an access to the first access opening and the second access opening. The door blocking unit is switchable between at least two operating modes. In a first operating mode, only the first access opening is accessible. In a second operating mode, only the second access opening is accessible.

A cabin monument for an aircraft. The cabin monument has a framework with a base frame and a frame structure connected to the base frame, and side walls fastened to the frame structure. By fastening the side walls to the structural struts of the frame structure, a mechanical load acting on the cabin monument is distributed between the framework and the side walls.
