An automobile having a cargo space, a rear door opening for accessing the cargo space and a door pillar which delimits the rear door opening. The vehicle has a rack which in a stowed state is arranged entirely in the cargo space and is at least partially concealed by the door pillar as viewed from outside the automobile in the direction of the vehicle longitudinal axis of the automobile, and in a deployed state is arranged at least partially outside the cargo space. The vehicle has a transfer mechanism to transfer the rack between the stowed state and the deployed state via the rear door opening, wherein the transfer mechanism is configured such that, during a transfer of the rack from the stowed state into the deployed state, the rack moves inward in the direction of the vehicle transverse axis of the automobile.

A dual clutch arrangement for a transmission that is provided with a first input shaft and a second input shaft has a clutch housing that is connectable to a drive train in a rotationally fixed fashion. The first and second friction clutches can transmit a torque between the clutch housing and the first and the second input shafts, respectively. The first and second friction clutches are nested in the radial direction with respect to each other and actuated by a first and a second actuating unit that have pistons for pressuring clutch disk packs. The compressive force exerted by the piston of the first actuating unit and the compressive force exerted by the piston of the second actuating unit are directed in axially opposite directions with respect to each other.

Dual clutch assembly for a transmission having two input shafts

A dual clutch transmission comprising a first partial transmission and a second partial transmission is provided. A first group of forward gears is allocated to the first partial transmission, a second group of forward gears is allocated to the second partial transmission, each one of the forward gears comprises a particular transmission ratio, two adjacent forward gears comprise adjacent transmission ratios with no transmission ratio of any other forward gear in between, and at least two adjacent forward gears are allocated to the second partial transmission. Further, such a control method for controlling the dual clutch transmission is provided that a torque transmitting gap is closed when gear shifting between the aforementioned two adjacent gears.

Dual clutch transmission of reduced axial length and method of controlling this dual clutch transmission

A dual clutch transmission is described having first and second input shafts and allowing at short axial length many degrees of freedom for providing various transmission ratios of the individual driving gears. A loose wheel of a reverse driving gear is provided on a third drive shaft and engages a first gear wheel of a step wheel. A fixed wheel of a second forward driving gear is provided on one of the input shafts and is engaged by a second gear wheel of a step wheel. The step wheel is switchable by a first gear shifting clutch that is provided on the second drive shaft and is designed as a first single gear shifting clutch allowing to connect only the step wheel in a rotationally fixed manner to the second drive shaft such that the step wheel co-rotates with the second drive shaft.

Dual clutch transmission

A gear shift mechanism of a gear shift transmission having a plurality of gears is described. A first movable gear shift fork and at least one second movable gear shift fork are provided for engaging gears of the gear shift transmission and assuming a neutral position as well as an engaged position where a gear allocated to a respective one of the first and second gear shift forks is engaged. A locking mechanism comprising a locking element is provided that prevents that both gear shift forks can assume at the same time unintentionally an engaged position. The locking mechanism is designed such that in a locking position a force for moving the first gear shift fork out of its neutral position does not generate a resulting component of force that would force the locking element against the second gear shift fork.

A clutch device is described comprising a first clutch element, a second clutch element that is disposed in a coaxial manner in relation to the first clutch element, a first engagement means, a second engagement provided for engaging with the first engagement in a positively interlocking manner for transmitting a torque between the first clutch element and the second clutch element, and a spring biasing the first engagement element and the second engagement element in a circumferential direction against each other. The spring comprises a leg spring with a ring part and two legs, wherein the ring part is disposed in a substantially coaxial relation to the first and second clutch parts and the legs extend in a radially outward direction.

Hydraulic system for providing pressures and volumetric flows in a dual clutch transmission

The invention relates to a clutch transmission and a method of operating the same. The clutch transmission has a transmission element that is accommodated in a transmission chamber, a clutch element accommodated in a clutch chamber, and a hydraulic controller comprising an oil pump. The purpose is to provide pressures and volume flows in the clutch transmission, in which, in order to cool the clutch element, the oil pump sucks in oil and pumps it into the clutch chamber. In order to reduce churning losses in the transmission chamber to prevent air from being sucked in by the oil pump, an intake chamber is operatively connected to an oil outlet of the clutch chamber in order to receive the oil that leaves the clutch chamber.

Clutch transmission and method for lubricating and cooling the same

The invention provides a change gear, in particular in motor vehicles. This transmission comprises input and output shafts, a drive shaft that is in torque transmitting connection with the first and second output shafts; a first group of gear sets comprising at least one first gear set; a second group of gear sets comprising at least one second gear set; an itermediate shaft; and a first gear section. The input shaft is connectable with the first output shaft by the first group of gear sets. A second gear section is providcd in which the intermediate shaft is connectable to the second output shaft by the second group of gear sets. The intermediate shaft is in gearing connection with the first input shaft.

The invention relates to a hydraulic twin clutch for a transmission with two transmission input shafts, preferably for a power-shift transmission in motor vehicles, with concentric arrangement of the two transmission input shafts, a driven clutch housing, two hydraulically actuated clutches with friction disks and annular piston-cylinder units, the first clutch connecting the clutch housing selectably to the first transmission input shaft and the second clutch connecting the clutch housing selectably to the second transmission input shaft. It is distinguished by the fact that the two clutches are arranged adjacent one another, separated by a clutch web firmly connected to the clutch housing, and the two piston-cylinder units provided for the actuation of the clutch are likewise arranged adjacent one another and separated by the clutch web, between the clutches and the transmission input shafts, on a smaller diameter than the clutches. The essential advantages are compact construction combined with high torque capacity and the possibility of achieving complete compensation of the centrifugal-force-dependent pressures in the working chambers through the provision of a compensating chamber.
