A cutting head for an electric razor is provided. The cutting head has at least one upper blade and a lower blade associated with the upper blade, which upper and lower blades are movably supported relative to one another and can be driven accordingly by a drive device. The upper blade has a contact surface for the skin to be shaved, which contact surface is formed by a plurality of webs that are each bounded by slots. The longitudinal extent of the webs runs substantially perpendicular to a threading edge bounding the contact surface. The contact surface is designed to be concave and rises towards the threading edge, where the threading edge has an outer radius and this outer radius encloses an angle of less than 90&#xb0;.

The invention relates to a lower cutter () which, together with an associated upper cutter (), forms the shaving head of a dry shaver. The upper cutter is designed in the form of a perforated foil () which at least partially encloses the lower cutter () and is prestressed against the same. The lower cutter () has a plurality of spaced-apart blades having cutting edges () in the form of strips between two peripheral regions (). The lower cutter () is essentially U-shaped in cross section. The width of the strip tapers monotonously from the two peripheral regions () in the direction of the center (Z).

The invention is directed to an electrical appliance, in particular an appliance for hair removal or hair care, with at least one electric power unit, an electric circuit connected thereto and including an On/Off switch, and a fluid circuit feeding a fluid from a reservoir to an application site which is open to atmosphere and where fluid is withdrawn from the fluid circuit, wherein the On/Off switch, in overcoming an actuator travel, is switchable between two end positions and is coupled to an actuator of a shutoff valve of the fluid circuit.
