A method and device for the diagnosing and monitoring vehicle components, wherein measurements with respect to a first measuring point, a second measuring point, a third measuring point and a fourth measuring point are performed and a first measured value set, a second measured value set, a third measured value set and a fourth measured value set are formed, where a reference value set is determined with respect to a reference point via the first measured value set, the second measured value set and the third measured value set, where a test value set is formed with respect to the fourth measuring point via the reference value set, and where a fault in or damage to the fourth sensor is detected by comparing the test value set with the fourth measured value set such that a high level of availability when used by a vehicle is achieved.

Method for detecting sensor errors, wherein measurements are taken, discharge time data with a first discharge time constant is read out from a data storage unit of the sensor and corresponding measurement signals as well as the discharge time data are transmitted to a computing unit, where a signal processing, a signal evaluation and a data evaluation occur in the computing unit and filtered signals are formed by filtering the measurement signals, where parameter values of a discharge function are determined via a logarithmic function of the filtered signals, a second discharge time constant is determined from the discharge function and where the first discharge time constant and the second discharge time constant are compared to detect errors, faults or damage of the sensor such that the influences of sensor errors on the measurements can be reduced.

A traction vehicle, in particular railway traction vehicle, comprising a bogey chassis mounted on wheel axles, a vehicle chassis spring-mounted on the bogey chassis and at least one motor-transmission unit mounted underneath the vehicle chassis and within the bogey chassis close to the wheel axle driven by the motor-transmission unit. The motor-transmission unit is suspended from the bogey chassis by a pendulum suspension close to the set of wheels in the bogey chassis. The motor-transmission unit is also suspended in the vehicle by a pendulum suspension. The motor transmission unit is provided with a pair of connecting rods in which either or both are connected to the bogey chassis or the vehicle chassis. The connecting rods are arranged with one rod parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the other rod being either parallel to or angularly related to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
