A support frame for a respiratory air container that can be adjusted to the torso length of a user. The support frame has a support plate with shoulder straps and to which at least one respiratory air container is fastened and from which pneumatic and electric supply lines originate. An extension plate is provided on the support plate and can be moved in a longitudinal direction and locked into various positions with supply lines attached to it. Shoulder straps can be fastened to a support free end of the extension plate.

A compressed air breathing apparatus having a base plate, at least one compressed air bottle detachably mounted to the base plate using a fastening strap and an additional fixing device, and a high-pressure fitting attached to the at least one compressed air bottle. The at least one additional fixing device has at least one mounting hole which is provided in the base plate and a fixing piece on the high-pressure fitting capable of being moved directly into and locked in the mounting hole.

The supporting plate () of a harness for breathing tanks and the like is flexibly connected to a waist plate () using an elastic formed piece () meant to keep said waist plate () on the user's back and resiliently respond to impacts, contortion, and tilting, and the link of the supporting plate and waist plate provided using the formed piece is positive-locking around a connecting pin () in the direction of rotation of the plates against each other.
