Arcuate fixation members with varying configurations and/or features are provided, along with additional components for use therewith in provided intervertebral implants. The arcuate fixation members may be of different lengths, cross sectional geometries, and/or cross sectional areas. Applications of intervertebral implants utilizing arcuate fixation members are particularly suitable when a linear line-of-approach for delivering fixation members is undesirable.

Arcuate fixation member

A dental implant system including a dental implant () and an associated implant analog (), the implant extending along a longitudinal axis (L) from an apical end () to a coronal end () and having an external surface for anchoring and osseointegrating in bone, a coronal end portion () having abutment connection geometry for cooperating with an abutment which can be seated in one or more defined positions on the implant, the abutment connection geometry having a coronally facing abutment contact surface () which extends around the full circumference of the implant, and in use directly contacts the abutment and provides a stop defining the axial location of the abutment relative to the implant, the coronal end portion further having a coronally facing prosthesis contact surface () located radially beyond the abutment contact surface, the prosthesis contact surface being a continuous surface extending around the full circumference of the implant.

Implant analog

A hybrid spinal implant device, and method of making the same are disclosed. The spinal implant device comprises two facing endplates, each having at least one anchoring wall or pin element, and a plastic spacer anchored to and located between the two endplates. The endplates may be manufactured from titanium. The plastic spacer may be manufactured from a radiolucent, and bio-compatible polymer-based material including polyetheretherketone ('PEEK'), polyetherketone, polyetherketoneketone, and/or fiber reinforced plastic. The endplates made of titanium allow for enhanced bone growth, while the plastic/PEEK spacer element allows for improved load absorption and distribution. The spinal implant device, using titanium endplates and a PEEK spacer, provides excellent radiolucency thereby eliminating the need for X-ray markers either intra- or post-operation. The manufacturing method for the hybrid spinal implant device uses injection molding to insert or back injection mold the spacer between the two endplates.

Hybrid intervertebral disc spacer device and method of manufacturing the same

The present disclosure relates to a spinal implant or spacer that addresses the variation in anatomy of vertebrae along the spine by having inferior and superior surface angle and convexity variations that are adapted to address the differences in lordosis and endplate surface convexity of the spine. The difference between the convexity of the superior and inferior surface of the spacer increases as the lordotic angle of the spacer increases. The spacers described herein thus provide overall improved fit into vertebral disc space and in some embodiments are even used in the absence of fusion for a prolonged period. The vertebral spacers described herein in some embodiments are used with supplemental internal fixation systems, such as an anchor plate. The interior of the spacer has channels and undercuts to increase graft volume and retention, support bony ingrowth, and bony stability for better secondary and tertiary stabilization.

Vertebral body replacement or fusion device

Implementations of the present disclosure provide a fastener including a tip portion, a proximal portion, an advancement mechanism and an expandable member. The tip portion has a first surface. The proximal portion is configured for coupling to the tip portion and has a second surface. The mechanism advances the first surface toward the second surface. The expandable member includes a first end abutting the first surface of the tip portion and a second end abutting the second surface of the proximal portion. Advancement of the two surfaces toward each other advances the first end of the expandable member toward the second end of the expandable member. The expandable member is configured to expand in response to the advancement. At least one of the ends of the expandable member is a free end extending under and configured to rotate with respect to an abutting one of the first or second surfaces.
