The presently claimed invention relates to a dispersant containing oxyalkylenecarbonyl units and a process for its preparation. The presently claimed invention is also directed to the use of the dispersant in a coating composition or an ink composition.

Amine dispersants

Disclosed is a process of making silicone-in-water emulsion, compositions including a silicone-in-water emulsion and use of the compositions as an additive in paint and coating formulations, printing ink compositions, personal care products, textiles, leather and indirect food contact applications. The process includes contacting a silicone with an organic non-polar solvent, adding an anionic surfactant, and further adding water under shear, to obtain a silicone-in-water emulsion; and removing the non-polar solvent, wherein the silicone-in-water emulsion has a particle size distribution Dv50 in the range from ≥0.1 μm to ≤25 μm, determined according to dynamic light scattering technique with a fixed scattering angle of 90°.

Process of making silicone-in-water emulsions

The presently claimed invention is directed to a copolymer obtained by reacting at least one isocyanate (A) comprising at least one allophanate group and at least one active double bond with at least one isocyanate reactive component (B) to form an intermediate product (C); and reacting the intermediate product (C) with at least one active double bond reactive component (D) to obtain the copolymer which can be used as dispersant. The at least one isocyanate reactive component (B) is selected from the group consisting of monofunctional polyether amine (B1), monofunctional polyether alcohol (B2), C-Cmonofunctional alcohol (B3) and monofunctional polyester alcohol (B4).

Allophanate based dispersing agent

Aqueous silicone polymer emulsion The presently claimed invention relates to a composition in form of an emulsion of water incompatible silicone oil comprising droplets of silicone oil dispersed in a continuous aqueous phase. The composition provides better slip and mar resistance, anti-blocking properties and optical properties to the coating formulations, printing ink, personal care product compositions, textiles, leather and indirect food contact applications.

Aqueous silicone polymer emulsion

The invention relates to a process for preparing oligo- or polyalkylene ether-modified polysiloxanes by transesterification of alkoxy-functionalized polysiloxanes with OH-terminated oligo- or polyalkylene ethers in the presence of an alkanesulfonic acid as catalyst. Oligo- or polyalkylene ether-modified polydimethylsiloxanes obtainable through this process are suitable as defoamers, as wetting agents, and as additives in coating material formulations.
