In some implementations, actions include receiving the extended SAM schema, the extended SAM schema being an extension of a core SAM schema, providing one or more goals, goals representing an intention of the core SAM schema, receiving one or more action chains, action chains representing one or more actions of the extended SAM schema that are to be automatically executed, the one or more actions being associated with triggerability flags, a triggerability flag indicating whether a respective action is only triggerable using a respective action chain, and processing the one or more goals, the one or more action chains and the triggerability flags using a computer-executable model checking tool for evaluating the validity of the extended SAM schema.

An example embodiment refers to a method to organize and manage a semantic web service discovery within a network with a distributed architecture of multiple independent network nodes, each node being able to store a subset of semantic web service instances, wherein an assignment of each semantic web service instance to at least one network node is automatically computed based on a defined vocabulary derived from ontologies that is distributed over the network nodes and that is used both in describing and finding that instance on request. The memory unit may be configured to provide the ontology and to store the ontology with the enhancement. The processing unit may be configured to identify a service specification, such as a service product or a contract, that may be represented by a class of the ontology. The service specification may describe a capability of a service. The processing unit may be further configured to compute a set of instances that are specified by the service specification and by a requirement specification and to enhance the ontology with a generated class representing the set of instances in case that the set of instances has one or more instances.

The provider sub-concept represents the provider service. The transformer unit is configured to transform the service request to a request sub-concept that is a concept of the ontology and a sub-concept of the generic contract. The selection unit is configured to select the provider service in case that the request sub-concept is a sub-concept of the provider sub-concept.
