A data management device for a two-wheeled vehicle, in particular an e-bike, pedelec, or the like, for the management and/or the diagnosis of operating data of the two-wheeled vehicle. The device includes a first communication interface for wireless communication with wireless two-wheeled vehicle devices of the two-wheeled vehicle, a second communication interface designed for communication with at least one two-wheeled vehicle system device, a third communication interface for the in particular authenticated and/or encrypted communication with a diagnostic device for the at least partial provision, modification, deletion, and/or retrieval of operating data of the two-wheeled vehicle, and a data management component for the management of operating data of wireless two-wheeled vehicle devices. The data management component being connected to the third communication interface and being designed to receive, to modify, to delete, and/or to provide operating data.

A method, a device, and a two-wheeler including a device of this type, in which at least one wear parameter that represents the wear of at least one wear part or a component of the two-wheeler is generated, determined, or ascertained. It may be provided that a shared wear parameter for multiple wear parts or in each case separate wear parameters for individual wear parts is/are generated, determined, or formed. Typical components on a two-wheeler, in particular on a bicycle, that may be subject to wear include the brake pads, the brake disks, a sprocket, a chainring, a chain, or a tire. In addition, brake fluid in a hydraulic brake may also be subject to wear, it being possible for the brake fluid to absorb either air, water, or dirt, thus impairing the responsiveness of the pressure transfer.

A method detects electrical fault states of a plurality of energy storage cells interconnected with one another in series and/or in parallel in a removable battery pack using a first monitoring unit integrated in the removable battery pack and a multiplexer measuring apparatus, which can be controlled by the first monitoring unit to sequentially measure cell voltages of the energy storage cells. A further monitoring unit sends a command to the first monitoring unit to control the multiplexer measuring apparatus, and is provided in an electrical device, in particular a charging device, a diagnostic device or an electrical consumer, that can be electrically connected to the removable battery pack.

In a method for operating an electric device, which includes a first storage battery pack, a second storage battery pack and an electrical load, no more than one storage battery pack is discharged at any given time to operate the load. In the process, the storage battery pack to be discharged is selected as a function of a temperature of the first storage battery pack and a temperature of the second storage battery pack and/or as a function of an internal resistance of the first storage battery pack and an internal resistance of the second storage battery pack.
