A distributor plate assembly for a vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher is optimized for abrasion wear resistance. The distributor plate includes a plurality of plate segments, each segment being formed from a main body of ductile iron alloy having cemented carbide granules embedded within the iron alloy.

A vertical shaft impact crusher feed hopper distribution device arranged for feeding material to be crushed to a rotor of a vertical shaft impact crusher. The feed hopper distribution device is arranged to be mounted in a feed hopper that feeds material to the rotor and includes a supply channel that forwards material from an inlet opening arranged adjacent to an upper end of the supply channel to a hopper bottom opening arranged in a bottom of the feed hopper and communicating with the rotor. The supply channel has a cross-section that widens along at least a portion of the distance from the upper end to a lower end of the supply channel.

A locking device for a crusher rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher includes a locking-wedge having a first through bore, a screw element for driving the locking-wedge into a locking position between a rotor arm and the hammer element and for holding the locking-wedge in the locking position, thereby fixing the hammer element to the rotor disc, a locking nut for receiving the locking screw element, and a locking nut holder. The screw element is at least partly located in the first through bore and extends through the locking nut. The locking nut holder holds the locking nut in a manner that prevents the locking nut from rotating as the screw element is driven through the locking nut.

A rotor positioning device in a crusher is arranged to adjust a rotational position of a rotor shaft. A shaft engager includes a female toothed mating surface for coaxial engagement with a male mating surface at an end of the rotor shaft, so they become rotationally interlocked. The shaft engager includes alignable indicator slots that are, when in use, alignable with markings associated with an end of the rotor shaft, such that the markings become visible through the slots as the rod is rotationally driven by a drive component. The markings correspond to hammer positions within the crusher, such that these can be maneuvered for maintenance (e.g. to top dead-center positions) before access to the crusher chamber is gained.

Rotor positioning device

A rotor locking device in a crusher is arranged for locking a rotational position of a rotor shaft. A shaft engager includes a female toothed mating surface for coaxial engagement with a male mating surface at an end of the rotor shaft to rotationally interlock the same. A fastening portion with engager apertures overlaps with a bearing mount surrounding the rotor shaft so it can be fastened therewith. The engager apertures are circumferentially elongated in order to accommodate alignment with fastening points in the bearing mount, at least when a closest rotational mating position is chosen for alignment. This enables any rotational position of the rotor shaft to be locked for safety before having to access the crusher chamber, especially when the rotor of the crusher has become blocked and requires maintenance.

Rotor locking device

A crushing device includes a horizontal shaft impact crusher having an impeller rotating around a horizontal shaft and at least one curtain against which material may be crushed. The crushing device further includes a first feeding device for feeding a first type of material to be crushed to a crushing chamber of the horizontal shaft impact crusher. A second feeding device feeds a second type of material, having a smaller average particle size than the first type of material, to the crushing chamber simultaneously with the first feeding device feeding the first type of material to the crushing chamber. A mixing arrangement for at least partially mixes the first and the second types of materials with each other before bringing them into contact with the impeller.

An abrasion resistant wear plate is mountable within a rotor or a vertical shaft impact crusher to protect the rotor from material fed into the rotor. The wear plate includes a main body that mounts and supports at least one abrasion resistant insert to define, in part, a contact face over which feed material is configured to flow.

A hammer mountable at a rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher (HSi-crusher), the hammer including a front face, a rear face and at least one recess projecting inwardly into a main body of the hammer from the front face. The at least one recess being arranged to receive an attachment element to mount the hammer at a hammer lifting device.

An abrasion wear resistant distributor plate assembly is mountable to protect a rotor within a vertical shaft impact crusher for material fed into the rotor. A distributor plate is arranged so as to be resistant to the operational abrasive wear resulting from contact with a flow of crushable feed material through the crusher rotor. Attachment components are provided around a perimeter of the plate to facilitate mounting and decoupling of the plate at the rotor during servicing or replacement procedures.

A crusher hammer lifting device facilitates raising and lowering of a hammer mountable at a rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher (HSi-crusher). The device includes a main body, a mount engager for attachment to an auxiliary lifting tool and a hammer attachment for releasably mounting the hammer in a rotatable manner at the device.

A wear tip holder for holding a wear tip adjacent to an outflow opening of a vertical rotor wall of a rotor of a VSI crusher includes a mounting plate for mounting the wear tip holder to the rotor wall. The mounting plate has a mounting face for facing a segment of the rotor wall to which it is to be mounted and a wear face, opposite the mounting face, for facing the interior of the rotor. A side wall extends between the mounting face and the wear face. The side wall includes a material retention surface facing, when in use, the rotor wall segment, thereby allowing material to be trapped under the material retention face.

Wear tip holder for VSI crusher, and method of reducing wear of VSI crusher rotor

A wear tip holder for holding a wear tip adjacent to an outflow opening of a vertical rotor wall of a rotor of a VSI crusher includes a mounting plate for mounting the wear tip holder to the rotor wall. The mounting plate has a mounting face for facing the rotor wall to which it is to be mounted, and opposite the mounting face, a wear face for facing the interior of the rotor. A wear body is connected to the mounting plate and is provided with an elongate wear tip recess for holding the wear tip. At least one material retention groove extends along the wear tip recess at a position upstream, as seen in a direction of an intended flow of material to be crushed, of the wear tip recess. The material retention groove has an upstream groove wall and a downstream groove wall, the downstream groove wall forming an acute angle with the wear face for retaining material to be crushed.

A vertical shaft impact crusher feed tube arranged for protecting a rotor feeding opening of a feeding funnel of a vertical shaft impact crusher. The feed tube includes a tube portion via which material may flow from the feeding funnel and vertically downwards into a rotor. The tube portion has a first width at a material inlet, and a second width at a material outlet, wherein the second width is larger than the first width.
