The invention relates to an article including an elastic main body on the basis of a vulcanized rubber () having an article surface that is susceptible to wear, which is provided with a textile layer. The textile layer, particularly a woven fabric () or knitted fabric, has a mesh design that allows the vulcanized rubber () to penetrate to the textile surface to form a textile-vulcanized rubber hybrid system (), wherein the vulcanized rubber portion on the textile surface can be controlled by means of the stitch number, stitch width and the thread design of the textile layer. The article is in particular a drive belt and in connection with the primary intended use, a method for making a drive belt is provided.

The invention relates to a flexible insulating material based on a high temperature resistant rubber mixture. The insulation material for use at temperatures of more than 130&#xb0; C., which is easy to apply to complex components to be insulated and also fills in undercuts, is an insulation material in which at least a portion of the rubber mixture is not crosslinked and can be plastically deformed, wherein the Mooney viscosity ML(1+4) of the mixture, determined at 23&#xb0; C. according to DIN 53523 Part 3, is 5 to 20 MU.

Insulating material

An apparatus transmits and/or receives radio waves in the UHF band and is configured for installation in an elastic structure. The apparatus includes at least one electronic component and an antenna embedded in the elastic structure. The antenna is connected to the electronic component and includes at least one filament configured to be plastically deformable and/or elastically deformable. The filament is helically wound to a predetermined antenna length (L) and defines an antenna winding turns density per cm of the antenna length. The antenna length (L) is between 4 cm and 10 cm and the antenna winding turns density lies in a range of 5 to 15 winding turns per cm of the antenna length.

The invention is directed to a flexible pipe connecting unit which includes a part made of elastic workable material. The pipe connecting unit includes a wave-shaped or hose-shaped bellows () made of elastomeric material. The bellows () has respective projecting flange collars () at its respective ends. The flange collars () preferably are provided with a reinforcement insert () and annularly-shaped pipe connecting pieces (flanges) are disposed behind corresponding ones of the flange collars. The pipe connecting unit () coacts directly with weld-on flanges as counter flanges () without additional seals or corresponding joining locations. For this purpose, the end sealing faces of the flange collars () are partitioned in the radial direction by a peripherally extending slot (). In this way, at least two coaxial concentric annularly-shaped sealing surfaces (-I,-II) are formed. With outer weld-on or slip-on flanges (), only corresponding ones of the outer annular sealing Surfaces (-I) are in contact engagement and, when the counter flange () is a welding-neck flange, at least the outer sealing annular surface (-I) comes into contact engagement. A stabilization ring () can be implanted in the slot () of the flange collar () between the outer annular sealing surface (-I) and the inner annular sealing surface (-II).
