A wiper blade assembly for a windshield wiper. In one embodiment, the wiper blade assembly includes a connector pivotably mounted on a blade support element. The invention relates to a device and a method for releasably connecting a wiper blade to a drivable wiper arm. In one embodiment, the invention is characterized in that the coupling section has a tongue-like insertion section, in that the connecting element has a seat for the insertion section, and in that the coupling section and the connecting element have securing sections for providing a mutual permanent connection.

The invention is wiper arm for a device for the cleaning of a windshield on a vehicle with a retaining element attached to a drive shaft to which a wiper arm part is articulated such that it can be tilted onto and away from the windshield and which is pressed down in the direction of the windshield with a force at least during the operation of the windshield washing device, and with the free end of which a wiper can be connected and with a separate trim that is attached to the wiper arm and extends in a longitudinal direction over the greater part of the length of the entire wiper arm part, and over all of the length of the wiper that is connected to the wiper arm. A wiper arm assembly for the windshield wiper of a vehicle. The wiper arm assembly includes a wiper arm and a wiper blade pivotably engaged. The wiper arm is affixed to a wiper shaft. The wiper blade includes a carrier frame for holding and guiding a rubbery elastic wiper strip. The wiper arm assembly also includes an additional support element rigidly joined to the wiper arm, spaced apart from a pivot axis between the wiper arm and the wiper blade. The additional support element engages the wiper blade on the wiper strip and supports the wiper blade in the wiping direction and counter to the wiping direction.
