A microwave connector assembly comprises a waveguide ferrule having a receiving end receiving a dielectric waveguide, a connecting end distal to the receiving end, and a locking member, and a ferrule socket at least partially receiving the waveguide ferrule in a ferrule receptacle. The ferrule socket engages in a locking connection with the locking member. The ferrule socket has a coding member engaging a complementary coding member of the waveguide ferrule only when the waveguide ferrule is positioned relative to the ferrule socket in a single predetermined angular position or in one of two predetermined angular positions that are rotated by 180&#xb0; with respect to each other.

A wave conductor for electromagnetic waves, waveguide connector and communications link A wave conductor for electromagnetic waves, preferably a millimeter-wave wave conductor, in particular for a digital communication application, with a conductor core and a one conductor sheathing. The conductor sheathing surrounds the conductor core at least partially in the longitudinal direction and at least partially in the circumferential direction of the wave conductor. One longitudinal section of the wave conductor has cross-sections which deviate from a circle at the outside of the wave conductor and/or at the outside of the conductor sheathing. The invention relates to an improved antenna element. Such an antenna element comprises a substrate, a first conductor and a second conductor. The substrate has at least a first lateral surface. The first conductor is provided on the first lateral surface, and includes a feed line portion and a monopole portion. The second conductor is provided at least partially on the same, first lateral surface, and includes: two ground planes which are disposed on the first lateral surface adjacent to the feed line portion of the first conductor at opposite sides thereof, and two stubs which are disposed on the first lateral surface at opposite sides of the respective of the two ground planes, and which extend in a direction parallel to the feed line portion of the first conductor. The two ground planes and the two stubs of the second conductor are arranged to form a coplanar waveguide.
