The invention relates to a stator () for an electric machine, comprising an essentially hollow-cylindrical laminated core () with multiple receiving grooves () which are arranged distributed. Multiple electric conductor sections (La, Lb) per receiving groove () formed by forming rods form a stator winding () with at least two part-windings (TWa, TWb). The at least two electric part-windings (TWa, TWb) are respectively formed by at least one first and one second electrically series-connected winding segment (WSa, WSb), wherein conductor sections (La, Lb) of the first winding segment (WSa) are electrically interconnected by means of first and second electric connecting sections (VBa, VBb) such that a helical current path () is defined along a first radial direction () to the longitudinal axis (3) of the laminated core (2) and conductor sections (La, Lb) of the second winding segment (WSb) are electrically interconnected by means of first and second electric connecting sections (VB a, VBb) such that a second helical current path () is defined along an opposite, second radial direction () to the longitudinal axis () of the laminated core ().

Stator for an electrical machine

A stator for an electric machine includes a laminated core having grooves evenly distributed in the circumferential direction around a longitudinal axis and continuously extending in a longitudinal direction of the core. Each groove receives at least two electric conductors having a substantially rectangular cross-section that are insulated against each other and against the core by at least one insulation layer coating in the radial direction and the circumferential direction as well as in the longitudinal direction at least over a stator height of the stator. The at least one insulation layer includes a thermoplastic high-performance polymer continuously closed in the circumferential direction and the radial direction and preferably directly extruded on the electric conductor. The insulation layer, at least in the circumferential direction, has a total circumferential layer thickness at least 1.5 to 3, preferably 1.8 to 2.2 times a total radial layer thickness of the respective electric conductor.

Stator having an insulation layer

The invention relates to an electric conductor for use in electric machines, more particularly for producing windings for stators or rotors of electric machines, such as electric motors or generators. The conductor comprises an electrically conductive conductor core having a substantially rectangular cross-section and comprises two longitudinal end faces arranged opposite one another and two transverse end faces arranged opposite one another as well as a total longitudinal extension between a first end and a second end. The conductor further comprises at least one insulation layer, which is arranged around the full circumference of the conductor core at least over a predominant part of the total longitudinal extension of the conductor core. The at least one insulation layer predominantly consists of an extrudable, polymer, thermoplastic material selected from the group of aromatic polysulfones (PAES) or mixtures of aromatic polysulfones (PAES).
