An adsorption refrigeration device includes a first chamber with an adsorber/desorber material and a second chamber with an evaporator/condenser device. The first and second chambers are in fluid connection via a pipeline. The fluid connection between the chambers is blocked in a first functional position and opened in a second functional position via a valve device that is arranged in the pipeline. The valve device has a valve element with a variable diameter. The valve element has two functional positions. In the first functional position, the valve element has a first diameter by which it fills an internal cross section of the pipeline with tight contact with an inner wall of the pipeline. In the second functional position, the valve element has a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter such that a gap is opened between the inner wall of the pipeline and the valve element.

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, having a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, has a coupler with a master piston and a slave piston which are connected to a pressure chamber. The pressure chamber is filled with an hydraulic fluid, and a coupler spring presses apart the master piston and the slave piston. The pressure chamber is connected to an actuator chamber via a check valve whose blocking direction faces the pressure chamber. The actuator chamber is sealed from a fuel chamber via a movable membrane.

Fuel injector

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, includes a first magnetic coil cooperating with a first armature, a second magnetic coil cooperating with a second armature, and a valve needle which is in force-locking connection with the first armature via a first flange and to the second armature via a second flange, to actuate a valve-closure member. A restoring spring acts upon the valve needle in a closing direction of the fuel injector. A first positioning spring, situated between the first flange and the first armature, acts upon the first armature in the closing direction of the fuel injector, while a second positioning spring, situated between the second flange and the second armature, acts upon the second armature in an opening direction of the fuel injector.

Fuel injection valve

A method and device for triggering a solenoid valve for injecting fuel into an internal combustion engine is described. The triggering phase of the solenoid valve is subdivided into a pull-up phase and a holding phase. During the pull-up phase, a valve needle of the solenoid valve is caused to open by a first current intensity flowing through a magnetic coil of the solenoid valve. During the holding phase, the valve needle is held in the open state by a second, lower current intensity flowing through the magnetic coil. At least once at the beginning of the pull-up phase, a booster phase is activated during which a pulse-shaped booster current from a booster capacitor charged to a high voltage flows through the magnetic coil. During the triggering phase of the solenoid valve, a plurality of booster pulses are activated in succession, whose time position within the triggering phase is freely selectable.

Method and device for triggering a fuel injector

A fuel injector, in particular an injector for high-pressure fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines, has a valve closing body which works together with a valve seat face provided on a valve seat carrier to form a seal seat. Furthermore, a housing body which is part of a valve housing is also provided. A stroke adjusting disk determines the distance between the housing body and the valve seat carrier. According to the present invention, the stroke adjusting disk is arranged so that it surrounds a spray end of the housing body on the outside peripherally.

A fuel injection valve for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, in particular for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve has a magnet coil, an armature that can be pulled by the magnet coil in a direction of lift against a first return spring, and a valve needle. The valve needle has a first stop surface for the armature, which can be moved relative to the valve needle. The armature is acted upon by a second return spring. In addition, a stationary second stop surface for the armature is provided. The second return spring acts upon the armature in a direction opposite to the lift and in an inoperative position, when the magnet coil is not energized, and holds the armature in contact with the second stop surface so that a distance between the armature and the first stop surface provided on the valve needle is predefined.

A method and a device for driving at least one solenoid valve used for controlling the injection of fuel into an internal combustion engine. At the start of the driving (activation), the solenoid valve is supplied with a booster voltage that is elevated as compared to that used for the further driving. The energy and/or power output received by the solenoid valve at the start of the driving is able to be influenced as a function of the operating state of the internal combustion engine.

Method and device for controlling at least one solenoid valve

A fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a core which serves as the internal pole is made of a soft magnetic powder composite material. This powder composite material is an iron powder provided with a polymer additive, where the individual iron particles are coated with an electrically insulating layer. Such a powder composite material ensures a substantial minimization of eddy currents in the magnetic circuit in comparison with materials known previously, such as chromium steel, which are usually used as magnetic materials. The core which is mechanically sensitive and is sensitive to fuel is encapsulated at least with respect to the parts of the injection valve carrying the fuel. A sleeve passes through an internal longitudinal opening in the core which permits fuel flow in its interior and is fixedly attached to a pole part which seals the core toward the bottom. The core and the magnetic coil are thus not exposed to any wetting by fuel. This fuel injection valve is especially suitable for use in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines with mixture compression and external ignition.

An electromagnetically actuable valve, in particular an injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines is provided. The actuable valve has a throttling point that joins a core and a connector part to one another. An annular insert that supports the throttling point in a radial direction is provided. The use of the annular insert makes it possible to utilize the advantages of the design of a valve tube with the throttling point, and at the same time creates the stability necessary for high-pressure valves. The annular insert is made from electrically nonconductive material or configured with an interruption at at least one point and mounted in an electrically insulated fashion. This prevents eddy currents, which have a negative effect on switching times, in the annular insert. The annular insert is located at least partially within an influence region of a magnetic field of a magnet coil, in the presence of a changing magnetic field.

Electromagnetically controlled valve

A fuel injection valve, in particular a high-pressure injection valve for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a compressed mixture, externally ignited internal combustion engine, has in a guide and seat area provided at the downstream end of the valve which area is formed by three disk-shaped elements. A swirl element is nested between a guide element and a valve seat element. The guide element, which can move radially in the assembled valve and which has an inner guide opening, serves to guide an axially movable valve needle which extends through it, while a valve closing section of the valve needle acts in concert with a valve seat surface of the valve seat element. The guide element is spring-loaded through a compression spring which acts upon it.
