The invention relates to a roller tappet () for a piston pump, in particular for a high-pressure fuel pump, for supporting a pump piston () which can move in a reciprocating motion on a cam () or eccentric of a drive shaft (), comprising a tappet body () with an end-side recess () and two radial bores () which lie diametrically opposite one another at the recess () and receive a pin (), on which a roller () is rotatably mounted directly or indirectly via a bearing bush (), wherein at least one radially or obliquely running feed bore () is configured in the tappet body () in order to supply a lubricating medium to a radial bearing gap () which is configured between the roller () and the pin () or between the roller () and the bearing bush (), which feed bore () opens into the recess () in the region of an axial bearing gap () between the roller () and the tappet body (). According to the invention, the feed bore () is connected to an arcuately running lubricating duct () which is configured in a surface () of the tappet body (), which surface () delimits the axial bearing gap (). Furthermore, the invention relates to a piston pump comprising a roller tappet () of said type.

The invention relates to a fluid conveyance system for a fluid, comprising a low-pressure conveyance system having a low-pressure pump () and a high-pressure conveyance system having a high-pressure pump (), which are connected by means of a connecting line, wherein the fluid conveyance system has a pressure damper (). According to the invention, a fluid conveyance system is provided, by means of which a pulsation of the fluid caused by flow-rate waves or pressure waves in the fluid is damped. This is achieved in that the pressure damper () is arranged in the lower-pressure conveyance system and is a hydraulic pressure damper (). Said hydraulic damper () has a piston () arranged in a cylinder (), which piston can be moved against the force of a compression spring () and the vapor pressure present in a compression-spring chamber () accommodating the compression spring.

The high-pressure pump has at least one pump element which has a pump plunger which is driven in a reciprocating motion and defines a pump working space into which fuel is drawn in from a fuel feed via an inlet valve during the suction stroke of the pump plunger and from which fuel is displaced into a high-pressure region via an outlet valve during the delivery stroke of the pump plunger. The inlet valve and/or the outlet valve has a valve member at least approximately in the shape of a ball which acts as a sealing surface with a valve seat arranged in a valve housing. The valve member, in its open state, is lifted with its sealing surface from the valve seat, a first cross section of flow is cleared between the valve member and the valve seat, and downstream of the first cross section of flow, a second cross section of flow is formed between the valve member and the valve housing. In the direction of flow between the first cross section of flow and the second cross section of flow, a third cross section of flow is formed between the valve member and the valve housing, said third cross section of flow being larger than the first cross section of flow and the second cross section of flow.

A valve having a valve member, which cooperates with a valve seat formed in a housing part in order to control a connection, and the valve seat has an at least approximately conical seat face, which is located at a transition of the connection from a portion of small diameter to a portion of large diameter. The seat face is adjoined, on its side oriented toward the portion of large diameter, by at least one face which is more markedly inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the connection than the seat face, and on its side oriented toward the portion of small diameter, the seat face is adjoined by at least one face which is less markedly inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the connection than the seat face.

Valve, in particular for a high-pressure pump of a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine

A high-pressure pump has at least one pump element, with a pump piston which is guided displaceably in a cylinder bore of a housing part of the high-pressure pump and is driven in a reciprocating motion and defines a pump work chamber in the cylinder bore, into which chamber fuel is aspirated via an inlet valve in the intake stroke of the pump piston. The inlet valve has a pistonlike valve member, which with a sealing face cooperates with a valve seat for controlling the communication of the pump work chamber with the fuel inlet. The valve member is disposed with a head, on which the sealing face is embodied, in the pump work chamber and protrudes out of the pump work chamber with a shaft adjoining the head. The valve seat is formed in the housing part at a transition from the cylinder bore to a bore of smaller diameter adjoining the cylinder bore. With its shaft, the valve member protrudes through the bore into a region of the housing part remote from the pump work chamber, in which region a closing spring is disposed that engages the shaft of the valve member.

High-pressure pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine

A high-pressure pump has at least one pump element including a pump piston defining a work chamber and driven at least indirectly by a drive shaft in a reciprocating motion, counter to the force of a restoring spring. The pump piston is braced on the drive shaft at least indirectly via a sleevelike tappet, and the restoring spring engages at least the pump piston. A support element in the tappet braces the pump piston toward the drive shaft and is braced at least indirectly on the drive shaft. The restoring spring, via a spring plate, engages the pump piston and the tappet. The spring plate is elastically deformable in the direction of motion of the pump piston in such a way that as a result of its elastic deformation, deviations in the position of its contact faces on the pump piston and on the tappet are compensated for.

A pump unit for the metered delivery of fuel to internal combustion engines. The pump unit comprises a housing which comprises a longitudinal bore. Located in the longitudinal bore is an overflow valve, via which fuel flows back through a channel into a fuel tank. The passage can be opened or closed by a spring-loaded closing element. Fastened to the valve shaft of the overflow valve is a ring fitting. In the longitudinal bore of the housing there is an additional thread section, via which air flows out through vent gaps into a cavity of the ring fitting.

A solenoid-valve-controlled fuel-injection pump for internal combustion engines, in particular diesel engines, has a solenoid valve, whose valve needle separates a high-pressure region from a low-pressure region, i.e. connects the high-pressure region and low-pressure region, in the pump housing, via a valve seat; the injection period being controlled by the opening of the solenoid valve. In addition, a low-pressure compensating piston situated in the low-pressure region is provided in order to compensate for pressure fluctuations in the low-pressure region. The exceptional feature is that the low-pressure compensating piston, which is positioned coaxially to the solenoid-valve needle, takes the form of a component part that is separate from the solenoid-valve needle. This ensures that the solenoid valve is opened unhindered and as rapidly as possible by the opening force exerted on the solenoid-valve needle by the electromagnet.

Electromagnetic valve-controlled fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, especially diesel engines

A lift-controlled valve as a fuel metering device of an injection system for internal combustion engines has a valve needle which may be actuated axially against the resistance of a spring, the valve needle being situated in a graduated coaxial recess in a valve body and interacting with a valve seat formed in the recess of the valve body in this case controlling the fuel injection process; the valve has in addition a high-pressure area which is connected to an assigned injection nozzle and which is located upstream from the valve seat, a low-pressure area which is located downstream from the valve seat and which opens out into a fuel return flow, and a low-pressure equalizing piston which coaxially adjoins the valve and which is fixedly connected to the valve needle. The characterizing feature is that a first control edge is formed on the low-pressure equalizing piston, the control edge interacting with a second control edge on the valve body recess in the area of the fuel return flow or in such a way that a throttle cross-section which is dependent on the valve lift is formed between the two control edges.

Stroke-controlled valve as a fuel metering device of an injection system for internal combustion engines

A fuel injection pump of the distributor type which has a reciprocatingly driven pump piston that is load-bearing in a rotating distributor shaft which pumps fuel out of a pump work chamber to various fuel injection valves via a distributor opening. To control the duration of high-pressure injection, an electrically actuated valve is provided with a valve member in a valve chamber that communicates with the pump work chamber and from a second valve chamber, communicates with a low-pressure region. To terminate the high-pressure injection, the valve member makes a communication between the two valve chambers, whereupon the outflow of the fuel stream is controlled by disposing a diameter constriction in the connecting line, thus reducing any tendency to cavitation.

A throttle element installed in a blind bore of a connecting conduit which delivers fluid to cool an electromagnet. The throttle element includes a filter region upstream of a throttle which throttles flow of the fluid from an annular groove to the blind bore that connects with the electromagnet.

A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines which has a moving part supported in a housing bore and on its jacket face on one side, has an exit opening that is under high pressure, and whose bearing is improved by virtue of the fact that on the jacket face of the part or in the wall of the housing bore, at least one pressure compensation is provided. The compensation face is connected to a high pressure source, is disposed on a side of the jacket face of the part which side is remote from the exit opening, and is continuously covered by the wall of the housing bore. As a result, a compensation of the pressure action by means of the pressure field prevailing in the region of the exit opening occurs so that an improved, less damage-prone bearing is produced with a greater high pressure tightness of the moving part.

In a fuel injection pump of the distributor type, a solenoid valve is provided in the distributor and the valve member of this solenoid valve is supported in an axial bore of the distributor and actuated by a magnet fixed to the housing in order to block the connection between a pump working space of the distributor-type injection pump and a relief space during an intended high-pressure injection phase. Inherent in its construction, a distributor of such a fuel injection pump has a certain axial play in its mounting and this has an effect on the actuating travel of the valve member in the distributor in relation to the fixed electromagnet. In order to avoid changes in the magnetic properties, which can arise due to this axial association, part of the magnetic circuit in the form of a magnet plate is displaceable together with the distributor, with the result that the position of an armature connected firmly to the valve member relative to this part of the magnet core, with which it forms the working air gap, does not change depending on the axial position of the distributor, and the magnetic properties of the solenoid valve are thus maintained irrespective of the axial position of the distributor.
