The disclosure relates to diagnostic, surgical, and/or therapeutic devices for being introduced into the human or animal body or for in vitro examination of human or animal blood samples or other body cells, in particular to an endoscope or a disposable endoscope that includes at least one illumination light guide and/or image guide for transmitting electromagnetic radiation, the illumination light guide or image guide having a proximal end face for incoupling or outcoupling of electromagnetic radiation and a distal end face for incoupling or outcoupling of electromagnetic radiation. The proximal and/or distal end faces consist of plastic elements that are transparent at least partially or in sections thereof, the transparent plastic being biocompatible and/or having non-toxic properties to human or animal cell cultures for exposure durations of less than one day. This allows for the production of assemblies for disposable endoscopes, inter alia.

A fixture for a lamp and to a lighting element are provided that is usable as a reading light, for example in a vehicle or aircraft. The fixture is adapted to be releasably installed in an opening of an accommodating element and includes a cylindrical mounting element having a lateral wall, a front side, and an opposite rear side. The front side has an opening for receiving the lamp. The lateral wall has a radially outwardly projecting rib and a radially outwardly projecting latching element.

The connector housing has a device that reduce an influence of a range of variation of the numerical aperture so that an emission behaviour of the emission element is independent of a range of variation of the numerical aperture.

A light source is provided that includes at least two semiconductor light-emitting elements that emit light of different color, a light guide, an electronic control unit, and a light sensor. The light emitted by the elements is injected, at least partially, into the light guide and exits laterally from the light guide. The brightness of the elements can be adjusted by the electronic control unit. The light sensor is arranged to receive the light injected by the elements and laterally exiting from the light guide. The electronic control unit accumulates sensor signals from the light sensor over an integration time interval and compares the accumulated signals with a target value or range to determine a difference, changes a brightness of the elements in response to the difference, and changes the integration time interval in response to the difference or to a change in the target value.

Controlled color light source

A system and an apparatus for connecting a fiber optic or rigid light guide to a light source are provided. The fiber optic or rigid light guide has one end connected to a ferrule with a contact surface. The system includes a connecting element connectable to the light source, into which the ferrule can be inserted. The connecting element has a number of radially movable fastening portions, wherein the fixing portions are radially biased and cooperate with the contact surface, when the ferrule is inserted into the connecting element, whereby a first retention force is applied to the contact surface, and a fixing element is positioned in such a way that it cooperates with the fastening portions so that a second retention force, which is greater than the first retention force, is applied to the contact surface.

The invention relates to an electric connecting device, especially for arrangement between a steering wheel and a steering column switch module of a motor vehicle, comprising a stationary housing part and a rotationable housing part which respectively include a connecting unit and enclose at least one spiral-shaped wound-up, flexible electric conductor whose respective end is connected to the connecting unit and which is guided in a reverse-direction loop inside the housing. The conductor is associated with a forced guidance element in a positive fit, engaging the peripheral side of the conductor and resulting in a defined winding or unwinding of the conductor during a rotational movement of the rotationable housing part. The forced guidance element comprises a toothing that engages into the respective recesses in the conductor and may be assigned to the rotatable housing part, the stationary housing part, or both.
