The disclosure concerns a coating robot for coating components, having a robot base, a rotatable robot member, a pivotable proximal robot arm with two arm parts which can be rotated relative to one another and are connected to one another by a bearing ring, a pivotable distal robot arm, a robot hand axis, a connecting flange at the free end of the robot hand axis for connecting an application device and with a line arrangement which is guided from the robot base to the connecting flange for the application device. The disclosure provides that the line arrangement is passed through the first bearing ring between the two arm parts of the proximal robot arm.

Coating robot

The invention relates to a painting booth for coating components, particularly for painting motor vehicle body components, with a booth wall () and a coating agent line (), which runs from the exterior of the booth through the booth wall () into the interior of the booth. The invention proposes that the coating agent line () has an electrically conductive and axially running potential-compensating element () inside the line for electrically connecting the coating agent inside the line to an electrical reference potential, said potential-compensating element () extending from the exterior of the booth through the booth wall (), so that the free end of the potential-compensating element () is inside the booth.

Coating agent line with grounding element

The invention relates to a robot transmission () for a multi-axis robot, in particular for a painting robot or a hand-held robot of a painting system for painting motor vehicle body components. Said transmission comprises a transmission housing () which is filled, when in operation, at least partially with a lubricant according to an operationally-dependent lubricant pressure, in order to lubricate the robot transmission (), and has a construction-defined maximum pressure for the lubrication pressure. The transmission housing () is not air-tight if the lubrication pressure in the transmission housing () exceeds the maximum pressure. According to the invention, the robot transmission also comprises a pressure compensation device () which compensates the pressure in the transmission housing () and thus prevents the lubrication pressure in the transmission housing () from exceeding the maximum pressure.

Robot transmission with a pressure compensation device

A robot, such as a painting robot for painting components such as motor vehicle body components, is disclosed having a plurality of robot elements that are pivotable relative to each other. At least one flexible supply line may run from a proximal robot element to a distal robot element. The supply line may be axially displaceable in the proximal robot element relative to the longitudinal axis of the supply line, so that the supply line can perform an axial compensating motion during a pivot motion of the robot.

Painting robot

A pig traversable through a conduit to deliver a liquid, such as a coating material, having a resilient flexible, generally frustoconical sealing lip which is resiliently biased against an internal surface of the conduit and a resilient biasing member engaging and biased against an under surface of the sealing lip, biasing the sealing lip against an internal surface of the conduit. The disclosed embodiments of the resilient biasing member include annular coil springs and serpentine annular metal springs which may be U-shaped in cross-section, including a first leg received against the under surface of the sealing lip and a second leg received against the pig body portion.

Scraper pig

The invention concerns a coating plant for the coating of construction units with a coating medium, in particular a paint system for the lacquer finish of motor vehicle body parts, with a dosing pump, the coating medium supplied with a certain delivery (F) proportioned, and a pressure control valve arranged upstream before the dosing pump to adjust a coating medium pressure (p v) at the entrance of the dosing pump, as well as a control unit to adjust the pressure control valve a controlled variable of the pressure difference (&#x394;p) through the dosing pump independently of the delivery of the dosing pump and the changing viscosity of the lacquers to an essentially constant desired value (&#x394;p).

Coating plant and associated coating process

The invention concerns a pig scraper for cleaning the inside wall of a coating agent conduit. The pig scraper includes a body insertable in the conduit and at least one sealing lip that seals against the inside wall of the conduit and extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the body. A space is defined between the sealing lip and the body to form a pocket for enhancing the sealing of the sealing lip with respect to the conduit. The length of the sealing lip substantially prevents the lip from folding over on itself in response to a change in the direction of movement of the pig scraper in the conduit.
