The invention is related to a toothed chain with alternating inner and outer chain links each joined by means of a chain joint, wherein the inner chain links comprise at least one inner plate and at least two joint bushes running perpendicularly through the same, the outer chain links comprise at least two outer plates and at least two joint pins running perpendicularly through the same, and to form a chain joint, one joint pin of the outer chain link each extends through a joint bush of the inner chain link, and at least one inner plate of the inner chain link and/or at least one outer plate of the outer chain link is embodied as a toothed plate with each two teeth defined by an outer flank and an inner flank each. To provide a toothed chain having an improved service life and which can lead to a more advantageous embodiment of the complete chain drive, it is provided that an external flank angle given for the two external flanks of a toothed plate, is &#x3b1;&#x2267;65&#xb0; and &#x2266;75&#xb0;, and a ratio Vbetween a pitch p of the toothed chain and the outer diameter dof the joint pins is &#x2266;2.65.

The present invention relates to a hydraulic auto-tensioner, in particular for a chain drive of an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing, a tensioning plunger guided in a plunger bore of said housing, a free piston guided in said plunger bore, and a plunger rod formed on said tensioning plunger and extending through the free piston. The tensioning plunger, the housing and the free piston delimit a hydraulic reservoir which is sealed with respect to the housing and the plunger rod by means of a sealing unit that is arranged on the free piston. The sealing unit is implemented as a double seal ring with an outer sealing surface which is in sliding contact with the plunger bore of the housing, and an inner sealing surface which is in sliding contact with the plunger rod of the tensioning plunger. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of such a double seal ring in a hydraulic auto-tensioner.

The present invention relates to a tooth plate for an inverted tooth chain with two hinge openings spaced apart in the longitudinal direction and a tooth plate contour with two teeth arranged on one side in the longitudinal direction, the teeth each being limited by an outer flank and an inner flank. Here, at least one section of the tooth plate contour is shaved, where the ends of the shaved section comprise an overcut. This overcut is arranged in a low-stress area of the tooth plate contour. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for the manufacture of such a tooth plate with the pre-punching and shaving of a section of the tooth plate contour, wherein the overcut at least one end is arranged in a low-stress area of the tooth plate contour. In the subsequent normal punching of the non-shaved areas, the normally punched area of the tooth plate contour and the at least one shaved section meet in the area of the overcut at an angle to each other.
