Aspects of the present disclosure relate to interactive search training. A training canvas comprises results associated with a search query. The training canvas may be used as part of a training session that occurs during normal use of a search platform. When the search platform is first used, the results may be provided based on an existing model. An irrelevant result may be removed from the training canvas, such that a replacement result is added in its place. Additionally, results may be reordered, thereby indicating a ranking with which results should be displayed. Such interactions with the training canvas may be used to generate training data, such that a new model is trained accordingly. Thus, interactions with the training canvas yield high-quality training data that is usable to generate a model having equal or greater performance than a model that was trained using an equivalent amount of implicit training data.

Interactive search training

Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe a unified ranking model that may be used by a plurality of entry points to return ranked results in response to received query data. The unified ranking model is provided as a service for a plurality of entry points. A query is received from an entry point of the plurality of entry points. Results data for the query data is retrieved. A unified ranking model is executed to rank the results data. Execution of the unified ranking model manipulates feature data of the unified ranking model based on user context signals associated with the received query data and acquired result retrieval signals corresponding with the retrieved results data. Execution of the unified ranking model generates ranked result data. Ranked results data is returned to the processing device corresponding with the entry point. Other examples are also described.

Single unified ranker

A method and a system are provided for processing displayed text and progressively displaying results of processing the displayed text. In some embodiments, displayed text may be submitted as processing requests to process portions of the displayed text. The processing may include translation of the portions of the displayed text from a source natural language to a target natural language, grammar checking of the portions of the displayed text, or other types of processing. Each of the processing requests may include one or more complete sentences, or other units of text. Further, each of the processing requests may be submitted independently of receiving a processing response corresponding to an immediately preceding submitted processing request. Changed or annotated text included in processing responses may replace corresponding displayed text.

Progressive display rendering of processed text

A multi-lingual search and display system and/or methodology. The system providing a single point of access to information in multiple languages by executing a query against a set of targets, where the set of targets can include continents, countries, regions, geographic areas, languages, cultures, economies, markets, and so forth. Additionally, the subject invention translates the resulting documents and renders the translated results in a single view.

In order to increase the erasing efficiency, provision is made such that the reflector () is arranged and/or designed such that it reflects erasing radiation, which is reflected by the storage phosphor layer (), in the direction of the storage phosphor layer (), and the radiation source () is disposed on a base (), the base () being disposed closer to the holding plane () than at least part of the reflector ().

An apparatus () for erasing a storage phosphor layer () includes a radiation source () for producing and emitting erasing radiation, a drive () for producing a relative movement between the storage phosphor layer () and the radiation source (), the storage phosphor layer () lying or being moved in a holding plane (), and a reflector () for reflecting radiation. The reflector () is arranged and designed to reflect erasing radiation reflected by the storage phosphor layer () in the direction of the storage phosphor layer (). A further reflecting surface () is provided for reflecting erasing radiation which is positioned opposite the reflector (), as considered in a direction at right angles to the direction () of the relative movement.

Device for detecting information which is contained in a phosphor layer, with multiple individual radiation sources for emitting stimulation light incident upon the phosphor layer along a stimulation line and suitable for stimulating emission light in the phosphor layer, and a detector for detecting the emission light which is stimulated in the phosphor layer. To ensure the highest possible quality of the detected image, an elongated concave mirror is provided, for focusing the stimulation light emitted by the individual radiation sources onto the phosphor layer.

Device for detecting information contained in a phosphor layer

Device for detecting information which is contained in a phosphor layer, with a light source for emitting stimulation light incident upon the phosphor layer along a stimulation line is suitable for stimulating emission light in the phosphor layer, and a detector for detecting the emission light which is stimulated in the phosphor layer. To ensure the highest possible quality of the detected image, an elongated concave mirror is provided, for focusing the stimulation light emitted by the light source onto the phosphor layer. The light source is projected onto the phosphor layer at a scale of 1:M, where M takes a value between 0.5 and 2.
