A method, performed in a User Equipment (UE), is disclosed. The method is for facilitating the establishing of a UE processing configuration for the selective enhancement of radio signals received or transmitted by the UE. The method comprises receiving from a Transmission Point (TP) of a wireless network an indication that an identified reference signal is usable by the UE for establishing a UE processing configuration, and receiving the identified reference signal from a Transmission Point of the wireless network.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Embodiments herein relate to method performed by a radio-network node for handling a data transmission, from a wireless device to the radio-network node, in a wireless communication network. The radio-network node schedules one or more resources for carrying an uplink data transmission from the wireless device over a channel, and for carrying a feedback transmission, of a downlink data transmission from the radio-network node, over the same channel. The radio-network node transmits a control message to the wireless device, which control message indicates the one or more resources scheduled for carrying the uplink data transmission and the feedback transmission over the same channel.

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. A user equipment, a network node and methods thereof for timing of scheduling of resources in a frequency division duplex system are disclosed. The user equipment and network node operate in a frequency division duplex communication system. The network node determines () whether a user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, e.g. if the user equipment is configured with ABS or with half-duplex operation. Furthermore, if the user equipment is prohibited to receive an uplink grant in at least one downlink subframe, the network node sends () an indication to the user equipment to apply a time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources. The user equipment receives () the indication and thereupon applies () the time division duplex configuration to the timing of scheduling of resources.

Methods and arrangements for resource allocation

Embodiments include methods for a wireless device operating in a wireless communication network. Such methods include receiving from the wireless communication network, during a first transmission-time interval (TTI), an explicit request for automatic repeat-request (ARQ) feedback from the wireless device. The request can include an indication of one of the following: a range of ARQ process numbers for which the ARQ feedback is requested, or a range of TTIs, indicating that the wireless device is to provide ARQ feedback for all ARQ processes active during the indicated range of TTIs. Such methods also include transmitting to the wireless communication network, during a second TTI after the first TTI, ARQ feedback information for the ARQ processes indicated in the request. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a network node, as well as wireless devices and network nodes configured to perform such methods.

Flexible configuration of HARQ process feedback

A system and method of Random-Access Response, RAR, messaging when a base station employs narrow beamforming. Multiple RAR messages are successively transmitted from the base station to a User Equipment, UE, before any response to a RAR message is received from the UE. Thus, despite any calibration mismatch between Uplink, UL, and Downlink, DL, beams in the beamformed system, a RAR message is not only received by the UE, but is received over the most-suitable DL beam for that UE. Each RAR message may contain a message-specific scheduling-delay indicator in the UL grant carried in the RAR message to provide an adjustable time delay for the UE's uplink transmission scheduled by the UL grant. Multiple RAR transmissions can schedule a single UL transmission at a specific time instance or different UL transmissions at different time intervals. The UE may report to the base station the best DL RAR transmission detected by the UE.

Random-access response with analog beamforming

It is disclosed a network node, a communication device and methods therein, for scheduling of uplink resources in multiple time instances and transmitting in accordance with the scheduled UL resources. The method in a wireless device comprises obtaining a configuration related to a first and a second set of resources which the wireless device may use for requesting communication resources from the network.
