A top for a convertible motor vehicle includes a top linkage operable to move the top between a closed position and an open position. The top linkage includes at least one functional component having a first position and a second position. The functional component is generally in the first position at a start of the opening movement and at the start of the closing movement, and also at an end of an opening movement and at the end of the closing movement. The functional component is moved from the first position to the second position for at least a portion of the opening movement and of the closing movement when the top linkage is between the open and closed positions. The movement of the functional component from the first position to the second position provides clearance for at least one element that moves during movement of the top linkage.

Top for a convertible vehicle

A retractable roof device for a vehicle, including a roof panel configured to be displaced by a guide, moving from a closed position covering the passenger compartment of the vehicle to a retracted position in a rear area of the vehicle. The device also includes a cover structure. The controlled displacement of the roof between the closed position and the retracted position causes displacement of the rear cover structure and/or part of the passenger compartment such that the rear cover structure and/or passenger compartment part allows the roof panel and guide to be displaced.

Retractable roof device and vehicle fitted with said device

A retractable roof device for a vehicle, including a roof panel configured to be displaced by a guide to move from a closed position in the passenger area of the vehicle to a retracted position in a rear area of the vehicle. The device also includes a rear cover structure that includes closing shutters. The closing shutters can be automatically controlled between a position in which they are deployed and a position in which they are stored.

The invention relates to a convertible vehicle () comprising a roof () which can be stored below a cover part () arranged below in the back of a vehicle. The cover part can be selectively opened in order to release a charging hole for luggage or to release an opening for the roof (). A first pivoting axis (), for said above-mentioned opening (), is arranged in the region of a rear sided closing edge of the cover part () and at least the lateral swinging arms () associated with at least the longitudinal sides of the vehicle are coupled to the cover part () by means of a joint connection. The convertible vehicle is configured in such a manner that tolerance compensation is provided in the cover part () and/or in the joint connection (). Said compensation results in a deviation of the trajectory of one part of the cover part () and/or the joint connection () of the circular trajectory (), at least during the pivoting of the cover part () in order to release the opening for the roof.

Convertible automobile

A retractable roof for a vehicle, including a roof panel configured to be displaced by a guide from a closed position in the passenger area of the vehicle to a retracted position in a rear area of the vehicle. The roof also includes a rear cover structure including a rear shelf. The rear shelf can be automatically controlled between a rest position and an open position.

Retractable roof and vehicle fitted with said device

For a convertible vehicle with a top, which can be locked to the windshield frame, for which at least one movable handle is provided for carrying out the locking and unlocking, the handle can be transferred from its operating position, in which it is accessible to a movement, which brings about the locking or unlocking of the top, into an inoperative position, which is located essentially vertically upwards from the operating position, in which it is in an area, which does not limit the head freedom. When the handle in the inoperative position is lowered into a recess formed between lining parts, a flush closure of the handle with the lining parts can be attained.
