A method and device for dispensing a fragrance composition in a household appliance during a cleaning cycle. The device is disposed inside the appliance and includes a first compartment with a detergent, and a second compartment with a fragrance composition. A change in a position of the device in the appliance triggers dispensing of a portion of the fragrance into the appliance. The device can contain computer instructions for carrying out the methods.

A liquid detergent composition may have a continuous liquid phase and solid particles dispersed in the continuous phase. The continuous phase may be transparent or translucent. The solid particles may be made of a polymeric matrix material, have a diameter ranging from about 0.8 to about 8 mm, and may include a plurality of microcapsules. The plurality of microcapsules may be dispersed in the polymeric matrix material. The microcapsules may have a diameter ranging from about 4 to about 70 70 &#x3bc;m. Use of and methods of use of such a liquid composition are also described.

Bad odors on textile materials are often caused by body odor. The invention relates to a textile material treatment method for inhibiting body odor on textile materials, by which means the treated textiles, after having been worn, even after sweat-inducing sports activities, have a significantly reduced bad odor or even no odor. The invention also relates to a perfume composition and to a textile material treatment agent, respectively comprising urea derivatives and/or phenacylthiazolium salts, that counteract the formation of body odor.

Prevention of body odour

The invention relates to detergents or cleaning agents which comprise capsules that are low in formaldehydes and/or free from formaldehyde, are storage stable and thus prevent a contamination of the detergent or cleaning agent with formaldehyde, comprising microcapsules, the capsule wall of which contains a resin which is obtained by reacting at least one aromatic alcohol or ether or derivative thereof and at least one aldehydic component which comprises at least two C-atoms per molecule, and optionally at least one (meth)acrylate-polymer, and builders and/or surfactants. Said detergent or cleaning agents enable, during application, a targeted and durable release of liquid active agents, such as, in particular scents, to the treated objects.
