A caliper body has a first elongated vehicle-side element, a second elongated wheel-side element, a central caliper bridge connecting the first elongated vehicle-side element to the second elongated wheel-side element and having a first bridge end portion, a central bridge portion extending between the first elongated vehicle-side element and the second elongated wheel-side element, and a second bridge end portion. The first and second bridge end portions respectively connect the central bridge portion to the first elongated vehicle-side element and the second elongated wheel-side element. The central caliper bridge has a pair of bridge ribs forming a trench therebetween and extending seamlessly running along the first bridge end portion, forming a pair of first end rib portions, the central bridge portion, forming a pair of central rib portions, and the second bridge end portion, forming a pair of second end rib portions. The first and second end rib portions respectively form a pair of first and second end elbows.

Caliper assembly for a disc brake comprising a caliper body and at least one pin; wherein said pin shank is suitable for being inserted in said at least one pin seat through said second seat opening; and wherein said pin shank comprises a first shank portion, suitable for being received in said at least one pin seat when in operative conditions, and a second shank portion, suitable for projecting canti-levered with respect to said at least one first surface, when in operative conditions; and wherein said first shank portion comprises at least one perimetric protuberance of greater extension along the transversal direction with respect to the adjacent shank portions; and wherein said at least one perimetric protuberance is suitable for forming a friction-fit between said first shank portion and said pin seat; and wherein said pin head comprises at least one under-head portion that extends from said pin head towards said pin shank to form a collar; and wherein said first shank portion comprises at least one groove, arranged between said collar and said perimetric protuberance, said groove forming a recessed shank portion, of shorter extension along the transversal direction with respect to the transversal extension of said collar and said at least one perimetric protuberance; and wherein said collar is suitable for upsetting, during the step of press-fitting said pin in said pin seat, said mouth portion of said caliper body in said groove, so as to form, through deformation of said mouth portion, a locking tooth suitable for cooperating with said groove to lock said at least one pin in said at least one pin seat.

Caliper assembly for a disc brake

A caliper for disc brake comprising a caliper body housing at least one pair of pads disposed on opposite sides along an axial direction and comprising at least one thrust piston which interfaces with the pad so as to press it against the associable brake disc, and at least one return spring that exerts a return thrust on the support plate of the pad. The return spring comprises a fixing portion to the caliper body that extends from axially opposite sides in separate thrust branches, each thrust branch interfacing with a support plate of a related pad. Each thrust branch comprises a first rectilinear portion that extends towards the corresponding pad, a curved portion, integral with the first rectilinear portion and folded in approach to the fixing portion, a second rectilinear portion that extends from the curved portion in approach to the fixing portion. The second rectilinear portion terminates with a free cantilevered end and interfaces with an edge of the support plate.

Caliper for disc brake

The invention relates to a caliper for disc brake comprising a caliper body which defines a housing compartment for an associated brake disc and houses at least one pair of pads arranged on opposite sides of the housing compartment along an axial direction. The caliper body comprises at least one thrust piston axially operable against the pad, at least one axial guide which supports and guides the pad in the axial direction and a first thrust spring which exerts a thrust on the pad. Said thrust has a first axial component, axially directed in a direction of approach to the pistons, and a first radial component, perpendicular to the axial direction. Advantageously, the caliper body comprises at least one compensation spring which exerts an axial thrust on the pad in a direction of approach to the pistons. The second axial component annuls the momentum given by the friction force exchanged between the pad and the axial guide with respect to the point of application of the first axial component on the pad.

The invention relates to a disc brake caliper () comprising: a caliper body () placed astride the disc of a disc brake, fitted with a pair of half-bodies () connected to each other by means of a first and a second end bridge () adapted to delimit a central aperture () of the caliper body (), and by means of a first () and a second () connection bridge placed astride the disc of the disc brake at such a central aperture (). The caliper body () houses brake pads () supported by suspension pins for pads () arranged in an axial direction (X-X) of the caliper body; said pads have a first side () facing the disc of the disc brake connected to an opposite second side () by means of a corner () facing said central aperture (). Such a caliper () further comprises a first () and a second () cross-shaped leaf springs to influence the pads () in the axial direction (X-X), wherein such a first ()/second () spring is adapted to act between the pads () and between the first/second connection bridge () and the first/second end bridge () of the half-bodies (). The first ()/second () leaf spring comprises a bow-shaped longitudinal beam () having a shaped first end () adapted to be removably constrained to the first/second connection bridge () and an opposite shaped second end () adapted to be removably constrained to the first/second end bridge (). Wherein each of such first () and second () leaf springs comprises: a cross beam () connected to the longitudinal beam () at a central base portion () of the spring, to influence the pads () at suspension portions of the pads () towards the pins (), such a cross beam () includes wings () projecting from the central base portion () of the spring in the axial direction (X-X); each of such wings () has a surface () facing the disc of the disc brake suitable for resting on the corner () of the respective pad (); each of said wings () comprising first means for influencing the pads () to influence the second side () of the pad () by keeping it away from an inner wall () of the half-bodies (); each of such wings () comprises second means for influencing the pads () to influence the first side () of the pad () away from the disc in said axial direction (X-X) and to influence such a pad in suspension on the pins () in a direction (R) orthogonal to said axial direction (X-X) away from said first () and second () connection bridges.
