A system and method for providing context information along with a voice call is disclosed. In some examples, a calling device receives context information from a user and transmits the context information when establishing a voice call with the user. The context information may include various types of media, such as pictures or videos taken by a calling device. In some examples, a destination mobile device receives a voice call that does have context information and sends a request to a calling mobile device for information related to the voice call.

An interactive electronic device shell and light source may enable personalization and increased functionality of an electronic device. The shell may at least partially cover a light source and attach to an electronic device. The shell includes at least some transparent or translucent portions (e.g., light stencils) that enable light from a matrix of the light source to emit through the shell, thus causing a display of light from the shell. In some aspects, the electronic device may be linked with the shell and/or the light source to control light emission through the shell. In various aspects, an illumined portion of the shell may have significance, such as revealing an artistic design or indicating a message based on activity of the electronic device.

A system and method for automatically presenting a media file on a mobile device based on an analysis of metadata associated with the media file. The system evaluates a media file's metadata to determine whether the media file is relevant to a mobile device user based on time, date, location, subject matter, or other criteria. If the media file is relevant to the user, the system automatically displays the media file on the mobile device. By presenting the media file to a mobile device user, the system reminds the user of fond memories associated with past dates, people, events, or places. In some embodiments, the system may also prompt a user of the mobile device to take an action related to the media file presented on the mobile device, such as prompting the user to place a telephone call to a person pictured in the image.

A digital display device for displaying content associated with multiple sets of sources of content is described herein. The digital display device includes a display configured to provide at least a first display region and a second display region. The digital display device further includes a communication component configured to transmit and receive signals to and from a telecommunications network and a storage component configured to store a mapping of sources of content to the first and second display regions. The digital display device also includes a routing component that automatically routes content associated with the first and second sets of sources for display on at least one of the first and second display regions. The first and second display regions display the content substantially simultaneously.

A digital display device having two or more displays that are coupled at angles to each other for displaying content associated with multiple sets of sources of content is described herein. Each display has one or more display regions in which content is displayed. A first display region on one display may be merged with a second display region on the same or a different display to form a merged display region in which content is displayed. Display regions may be merged by, for example, receiving a first touch from a user of a first touch-sensitive display region and a second touch of a second touch-sensitive display region. In some embodiments, the digital display device has the form of a cube with six displays.

In some aspects, a telecommunications device obtains an identifier from an accessory token. The telecommunications device may transmit the identifier to a server to request content associated with the identifier. The telecommunications device may receive the content from the server when the identifier is valid and/or the content is available. In various aspects, the accessory token is communicatively coupled to the telecommunications device, which enables the telecommunications device to obtain the identifier.

The present invention provides methods and systems for remotely recording an image using a mobile device. In one embodiment, a user transmits a message using a mobile device to activate a camera pod to record an image. The user makes adjustments to the settings of the camera pod using the mobile device, and in some instances, initiates a trigger sequence using the mobile device. The camera pod records the image and transmits the image to the mobile device, enabling the user to preview the image. In some instances, the camera pod transmits the image to a storage server, where it is stored in an album. In one embodiment, the storage server creates a webpage with the captured visual record that the user can retrieve using a personal computer.
