The invention relates to an insertion device () for inserting an analyte sensor () into a body tissue. The insertion device () comprises an insertion needle holder () and a drive mechanism () for driving the insertion needle holder () in a longitudinal direction (). The drive mechanism () comprises at least one actuator () for actuating the drive mechanism (). The drive mechanism () comprises a rotor () adapted to transform an actuation motion of the actuator () into a motion of the insertion needle holder () in the longitudinal direction (). The insertion device () further comprises at least one safety lock (). The safety lock (), in a locked position, is adapted to at least partially block a rotation of the rotor (). In an unlocked position, the safety lock () is adapted to permit the rotation of the rotor ().

Disclosed is an implant needle for introducing an implant into a patient. The needle has a hollow main body having a receiving portion configured to receive an implant. A taper-shaped tip portion is cut from the hollow needle main body and includes a first slant surface contiguous to an outer peripheral surface of the main body and formed at a first predetermined angle with respect to an axis of the main body. The first slant surface has an inner non-cutting edge and an outer non-cutting edge. The needle also includes a pair of second slant surfaces, each of which forms a second predetermined angle with respect to the main body axis that is larger than the first predetermined angle. Each second slant surface has an inner non-cutting edge and an outer cutting edge that is contiguous with an edge point of the tip portion. A method of manufacturing the implant needle is also disclosed.

An insertion device () for inserting an analyte sensor () into a body tissue is proposed. The insertion device () comprises an insertion needle holder () and a drive mechanism () for linearly driving the insertion needle holder () in a longitudinal direction (). The drive mechanism () comprises at least one actuator () for actuating the drive mechanism (). The actuator () comprises at least one actuator arm () which is pivotable about at least one axle () in order to actuate the drive mechanism (). The insertion device () further comprises at least one protection against reuse including at least one locking mechanism (). The locking mechanism () is adapted to at least partially prevent a back-pivoting of the actuator arm () in a direction reversing the actuation direction once the actuator arm () has been pivoted by at least one threshold angle.

An insertion device is proposed for at least partly inserting a subcutaneous device, more particularly a subcutaneous sensor for detecting at least one analyte, into body tissue. The insertion device has at least one insertion aid and at least one subcutaneous device. The insertion aid has at least one substantially rigidly designed base body, more particularly an insertion needle, for insertion into the body tissue. The insertion device is designed to generate an adjustable holding force between the base body and the subcutaneous device. The insertion device is designed to set the holding force during the insertion such that the subcutaneous device is held against the base body. The insertion device is furthermore designed to set the holding force after the insertion such that the subcutaneous device is detachable from the base body.

Controllable sensor insertion needle

A system for determining an analyte in a body fluid includes a magazine comprising two partial magazines, one including chambers containing analysis elements having a sample contact zone and a reagent system containing a reagent, whose reaction with the body fluid results in a change of a variable, and another including chambers containing puncturing elements having a tip having a capillary channel, which forms a fluid connection between the tip and a sample transfer zone of the puncturing element. The system may also include an analysis instrument having a puncturing drive for driving a puncturing element on a movement path, a mounting for receiving the magazine such that one chamber of the magazine at a time is located in a functional position, in which a puncturing element in the chamber can be moved by the puncturing drive, and a measuring and evaluation apparatus for measuring the change of the variable.

Analysis system and method for determining an analyte in a body fluid

Method for the injection-molding production of a magazine having a plurality of chambers, separated by partition walls, including an outer wall formed by an outer wall of the magazine. The method uses a casting mold having an outer wall channel corresponding to the outer wall of the magazine, and partition wall channels corresponding to the partition walls, and a gate opening. A plurality of partition wall channels extend from the gate opening to the outer wall channel. The method comprises injecting a plastic compound into the gate opening. The plastic compound flows from the gate point to the partition wall channels into the outer wall channel. The plastic compound streams have a differing flow speed in alternating partition wall channels so a joint line, which is aligned with a partition wall channel, forms on the outer side of the outer wall channel.

Method for producing a magazine by injection molding, and a magazine for an analysis device

The invention relates to a sensor for in vivo measurements comprising a planar substrate, and a sensor shaft bearing several electrodes, and a sensor head for connecting the sensor, wherein the sensor head has metal surfaces as contact fields for contact making, which are connected to the electrodes by way of conductor paths. The sensor head protrudes laterally to the sensor shaft so that the contact fields are arranged laterally from the sensor shaft, whereas the conductor paths extend in parallel on the sensor head transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sensor shaft. Also disclosed is a system having a sensor as just described and a suitable plug connector therefor.
