The refrigeration compressor includes a cylinder block carrying a crankshaft and a stator of an electric motor, whose rotor is mounted to the crankshaft. An oil pump including: a tubular sleeve affixed to the crankshaft or to the rotor with a pump body internal to the tubular sleeve and connected to the cylinder block. A fixation rod is articulated to the cylinder block or stator and has a lower portion angularly and freely displaced orthogonally to the rotational axis and around which the lower end portion of the pump body is axially retained and slidably mounted, orthogonally and coplanar to the rotation axis of the rotor.

Mounting arrangement for an oil pump in a refrigeration compressor

The refrigeration compressor includes a cylinder block carrying a crankshaft and a stator of an electric motor, whose rotor is mounted to the crankshaft. An oil pump including; a tubular sleeve affixed to the crankshaft or to the rotor with a pump body internal to the tubular sleeve and connected to the cylinder block. A fixation rod is articulated to the cylinder block or stator and has a lower portion angularly and freely displaced orthogonally to the rotational axis and around which the lower end portion of the pump body is axially retained and slidably mounted, orthogonally and coplanar to the rotation axis of the rotor.

The fixation arrangement of the present invention is applied to a compressor of the type which comprises a shell () inferiorly defining an oil sump () and housing: a crankshaft () journalled in a cylinder block () and carrying a rotor () formed by a stack of annular laminations; and an oil pump () comprising a tubular sleeve (), which is superiorly mounted to the rotor () and inferiorly immersed in the oil sump (), and a pump shaft (). The fixation arrangement comprises at least one retention element () radially and axially locked around the tubular sleeve () and having a radially outer locking portion (), which is seated and radially forced against a respective confronting circumferential extension () defined between two consecutive annular laminations, in order to axially lock the tubular sleeve () to the rotor ().

Fixation arrangement for an oil pump in a refrigeration compressor

Oil pump for hermetic refrigerating compressor comprising a tubular sleeve having an upper portion affixed to at least one of the parts of crankshaft and rotor, and a lower portion having a lower end immersed in the lubricant oil, said tubular sleeve being provided with an inner surface presenting, along at least part of its longitudinal extension, at least one helical groove upwardly extending from the lower end; and a pump body disposed inside the tubular sleeve and defining, with the adjacent helical groove of the tubular sleeve, a lubricant oil ascending channel, said pump body presenting a lower end portion mounted to one of the parts of shell, cylinder block and stator, so as to be freely displaced within the tubular sleeve, in radial directions orthogonal to the crankshaft and rotatively locked in relation to the rotor.
