A process for manufacturing a textile item by means of a circular weft knitting machine, of seamless type and provided at least with a feed, a needle-bearing organ supporting a plurality of needles, and a plurality of knockover sinkers, provides the programming of the knitting machine so as to define a textile item consisting of a plurality of successive stitch rows (R) of knitted fabric in succession, and to produce weft knitted fabric for manufacturing the textile item, according to the programming step. In the programming step is set at least a designed motif, defined on at least two successive stitch rows, i.e. following one another, in which in at least one of the two successive rows a portion of terrycloth knitted fabric(S) is present. The designed motif is defined on a plurality of consecutive rows and consists of a serial repetition, for a certain number of times more than 1, of the two successive stitch rows, so as to obtain a structure with alternating rows, consisting of an alternating sequence of first rows and second rows of the two successive rows.

A process for making a garment, provided at least with a trunk (T), a right sleeve (MD) and a left sleeve (MS), includes the steps of: producing a tubular textile article (), by means of a textile machine, having a shape with cylindrical surface extended around a central axis (X) between an upper edge () and a lower edge (), wherein on the tubular textile article a front side () and a rear side () are definable, divided from each other with respect to a median plane (A); defining or identifying the textile article a plurality of cutting lines; cutting the textile article along the plurality of cutting lines so as to define and separate a plurality of fabric portions from one another; joining the fabric portions so as to obtain the trunk (T) of the garment, the right sleeve (MD) and the left sleeve (MS). Following the joining step, the garment () obtained from the tubular textile article exhibits zones of passage between the trunk (T) and the right (MD) and left (MS) sleeves lacking seams or discontinuities in the fabric, i.e. the passage from the fabric of the trunk to the fabric of the right and left sleeves occurs without interruptions.

A circular knitting machine for knitted items, comprising: a supporting structure; a needle-holding cylinder selectively turnable and provided with a plurality of cylinder needles; and a dial assembly. The dial assembly includes a supporting ring integral with the supporting structure; a needle-holding plate turnably mounted to the supporting ring; a plurality of plate needles; a plurality of control cams which interact with the plate needles to transmit to them a radial movement inside the respective sliding seat, wherein the control cams globally form a cam profile. The dial assembly includes a stitch cam placed movably on the supporting ring and interacting with the plate needles in a given angular sector during the rotation of the needle-holding plate, so as to transmit to the plate needles a motion of return for executing stitch formation. The stitch cam is selectively movable with respect to the cam profile.

A circular textile knitting machine includes a drive chain for each needle inserted in a respective longitudinal groove, located below a respective needle and operatively interposed between the respective needle and actuating cams. The drive chain includes a sub-needle arranged below the needle and engaged with the needle to be axially moved in the respective longitudinal groove together with the needle. The sub-needle includes a movable butt radially movable between an operating position, in which it is extracted to be engaged with respective first paths defined by first actuating cams and cause activation of the needle, and a non-operating position, in which it is retracted to not be engaged with the first paths. A selector is partly located below the sub-needle and partly alongside the sub-needle and is configured for oscillating between an active position, in which it pushes the movable butt into the operating position, and a rest position, in which it allows the movable butt to return into the non-operating position. The selector is axially uncoupled from the sub-needle and from the needle in a manner such that the needle and the sub-needle are never pushed or pulled axially by the selector. A selecting device acts upon command on the selectors so as to cause the passage thereof into the active position.

A machine for manufacturing boxers starting from a first and a second tubular fabric includes a separating station configured for separating a fabric element from the second tubular fabric. The machine includes a handling station configured for defining an operating configuration in which the first tubular fabric defines an operating area, and a moving device configured for placing the fabric element inside the operating area. The machine further comprises a sewing station configured for receiving the incoming tubular fabric and the fabric element placed in the operating area and for sewing longitudinal edges the fabric element to edge segments of an end of the first tubular fabric so as to obtain a boxer.

A needle-holding unit for circular knitting machines has a structure shaped as a hollow solid of rotation developing around a central axis is configured for turning around said central axis and for supporting a plurality of needles moving so as to produce a knitted fabric. The needle-holding unit exhibits on an outer side at least one working surface, on which a plurality of needle seats is defined, which are placed beside one another and arranged around the central axis. Each of the needle seats movably houses at least a portion of at least one respective needle which can be actuated with an alternate motion along the respective needle seat with a motion of extraction and a motion of return, in order to produce knitted fabric. Each needle seat has an inclined longitudinal development with respect to the central axis. The working surface has a shape as a surface of rotation obtained through the rotation of the inclined needle seats around the central axis, and in particular the working surface is a non-cylindrical, non-conical three-dimensional surface.

A process for making a tubular textile article destined to represent an upper for footwear comprising programming a textile machine defining a tubular textile article to be made, extending longitudinally in a seamless way starting from a first open end and consisting of a plurality of stitch rows in succession. The process further includes knitting, in accordance with the programming step, by making the first end, belonging to a first fabric of the textile article, destined to represent a tip end of an upper; making a tip portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the toe; making a tab, belonging to the first fabric and destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing or covering at least one portion of instep; making a middle portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing at least part of the sole and sides of the foot, wherein the middle portion has a longitudinal opening which is located on at least one portion of the instep, and two lateral margins on the sides of the longitudinal opening; and making an end portion of the first fabric destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the foot heel. The tab and the longitudinal opening of the middle portion both have a simultaneous longitudinal development, in a direction corresponding to the longitudinal development of the upper; the knitting step entirely produces the unitary, single-piece tubular textile article; the steps are performed in succession such that processing is never interrupted between each step and the following one.

A circular knitting machine for knitted or hosiery items includes a supporting structure; a needle-holding cylinder rotatable around an axis of rotation and supporting a plurality of cylinder needles that are movable for producing a knitted fabric; a dial assembly, arranged above the cylinder and comprising a needle-holding plate rotating around the axis of rotation and supporting a plurality of plate needles that are movable for producing a knitted fabric. The machine includes motion generation elements, in order to rotate the needle-holding cylinder around the axis of rotation, and motion transmission elements configured for forming a motion transmission chain capable of transmitting to the plate, synchronously with respect to the cylinder, the rotation generated by the motion generation elements. The motion transmission elements include a first toothed wheel, receiving the rotary motion of the motion generation elements; a second toothed wheel, mounted coaxially with the needle-holding plate; an offset device, located between the first and the second toothed wheel and comprising an inlet gear, engaged with the first toothed wheel, and an outlet gear, engaged with the second toothed wheel. The inlet and outlet gears are mounted coaxially with one another and are translatable by an actuator, so as to change the engagement of the inlet gear with the first toothed wheel and/or the engagement of the outlet gear with the second toothed wheel.

A turning device for sewing or grafting stations for automated closing of the tubular knitted items at a first end thereof includes a lower portion and an upper portion, arranged below and above an intermediate area on which can be positioned supporting means for the tubular item to be turned, hanging at its first axial end, and at least one tubular body to be inserted from below to above, with the upper axial end thereof, through the axial end of the item hanging from the supporting means for turning the tubular item. The device includes moving mechanisms for positioning the lower portion between a first operating position, in which it is vertically aligned with the upper portion, and a second operating position, in which it is displaced laterally with respect to the upper portion; a manipulating mechanism, movable between a non-operating position, in which it does not interact with the tubular item, and an operating position, in which it is placed above the tubular item. The switching of the manipulating mechanism from the non-operating position to the operating position takes place by catching the tubular item picked up by the knitting machine and placed close to the lower portion; the manipulating mechanism, in the operating position, manipulates and raises the tubular item so as to position a second free end thereof on the upper axial open end of the tubular item, thus causing or facilitating the insertion of the tubular item into the tubular body.
