The disclosure relates to moisture curable compositions based on a combination of silane-modified polymer and silane functional additive, their manufacture and use. The silane functional additive is preferably prepared from a water miscible polyol having a functionality of about 2 to about 4 and/or a polyol having a tertiary nitrogen atom in the backbone and a functionality equal or greater than about 2.

The invention provides hot melt adhesives that comprise a templating agent, a polymer and a wax. It has been discovered that hot melt adhesives with an effective amount of templating agent have improved heat resistance than adhesives. The adhesives find particular use as case, carton, and tray forming, and as sealing adhesives, including heat sealing applications, for example in the packaging of cereals, cracker and beer products.

Hot melt adhesive formed with metallocene polymer together with a maleated polyethylene wax show an excellent balance of high and low temperature performance and are particularly useful as packaging case and carton adhesive.
