The disclosed system and method provide a mechanism for facilitating a conference call between a telematics subscriber and third parties through a call center. In one aspect, vehicle data may be uploaded data from the telematics unit while maintaining the conference call. The uploaded data may contain GPS location of the vehicle to assist a requester in locating and assisting the vehicle occupant.

Method and system for conference calling with vehicle occupant

A method of tracking a vehicle including receiving vehicle information at a call center from a telematics unit via a wireless network, determining whether the vehicle information is associated with a vehicle station identification for a missing vehicle on a vehicle tracking list and initiating vehicle tracking based on the determination.

Telematics system vehicle tracking

A method and system for locating a stolen vehicle includes the steps of receiving at least one stolen vehicle input associated with the stolen vehicle at a call center and assigning a first ping rate responsive to the input. An automated request is sent in accordance with the ping rate over a first predetermined time period from the call center to a telematics unit of the stolen vehicle using a wireless network.

Method for contacting stolen vehicles

A method for identifying a vehicle includes receiving a stolen vehicle input at a call center and receiving a confirmation input at a call center. A vehicle code display command is sent from the call center to a telematics unit of the stolen vehicle and a vehicle code of the stolen vehicle is displayed in the stolen vehicle.
