The present disclosure relates to hair coloring agents and compositions, and methods for improving the quality and durability of color in artificially colored hair. The compositions employ divalent metal salts of inorganic acids, monovalent or divalent metal salts of organic acids, antioxidants, and colorants. Methods are described wherein hair is contacted with the compositions of the present disclosure, resulting in improved artificial color deposition, as well as improved quality and durability of the color in artificially colored hair.

The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for improving the quality and durability of color in artificially colored hair. The methods employ pre-color treatments containing divalent metal salts of inorganic acids; monovalent or divalent metal salts of organic acids; and antioxidants, wherein the pre-color treatments are applied to hair prior to artificially coloring hair.

Methods and compositions for improving the durability of color in artificially colored hair

The present disclosure relates to hair care compositions such as hair restructuring compositions comprising a combination of restructuring components. The compositions are unique because they dramatically improve the quality and durability of hair, especially chemically treated hair. Typically, the compositions include: (a) one or more amines selected from the group consisting of diamines, polyamines, alkylamines, alkanolamines, and mixtures thereof; (b) one or more unsaturated carboxylic acids of formula (I):
