A switching apparatus includes one or more electric pole units, each electric pole unit comprising a fixed contact, a movable contact, a first pole terminal, a second pole terminal, and a motion transmission arrangement to reversibly move the movable contact. The motion transmission arrangement includes a conductive motion transmission member coupled to the movable contact. The first pole terminal is in electrical connection to the fixed contact while the second pole terminal includes a first coupling region in electrical connection with a second coupling region of the conductive motion transmission member. Each electric pole unit further includes a shielding element formed by a conductive hollow body and arranged in a relative fixed position with respect to the second pole terminal and the motion transmission member. The shielding element is arranged to at least partially surround the first coupling and the second coupling region.

Switching apparatus for electric systems

A mechanical latching accessory kit for a Medium Voltage contactor including one or more movable contacts connected through a mechanical link to a contact actuator moving the one or more movable contacts between a contact open position and a contact closed position. The mechanical latching accessory kit includes: a supporting interface adapted to be fixed to and removed from the Medium Voltage contactor; a latching element movable between a first operating position and a second resting position; a latching actuating system moving the latching element between the first, operating, position and the second, resting, position; the latching element being adapted, when it is in the first operating position, to cooperate with the mechanical link of the Medium Voltage contactor to latch the one or more movable contacts, and, when it is in the second resting position, to release the one or more movable contacts.

Mechanical latching system kit for a medium voltage contactor

A contactor for medium voltage electric systems including: one or more electric poles; for each electric pole, a fixed contact and a corresponding movable contact reversibly movable between a first position, at which the movable contact is decoupled from the fixed contact, and a second position, at which the movable contact is coupled with the fixed contact; an electromagnetic actuator including a magnetic yoke having a fixed yoke member and a movable yoke member, the movable yoke member reversibly movable between a third position corresponding to the first position of the movable contacts, at which the movable yoke member is decoupled from the fixed yoke member, and a fourth position, corresponding to the second position of the movable contacts, at which the movable yoke member is coupled with the fixed yoke member, the electromagnetic actuator including an excitation circuit assembly including an excitation coil wound around the magnetic yoke and electrically connected with an auxiliary electric power supply to be fed with an excitation current to generate an excitation magnetic flux to move the movable yoke member from the third position to the fourth position or to maintain the movable yoke member in the fourth position; an opening springs operatively coupled with the movable yoke member to move the movable yoke member from the fourth position to the third position; a kinematic chain to operatively connect said movable yoke member with said movable contacts. The electromagnetic actuator including camping circuit assembly comprising a damping coil arranged to form a conductive loop adapted to be at least partially enchained with the excitation magnetic flux generated by the excitation current flowing along the excitation coil, when the auxiliary electric power supply provides the excitation current to the excitation coil, so that a secondary current circulates along the damping coil when the excitation magnetic flux is subject to a transient.

Medium voltage contactor

An auxiliary/control switches kit box for a Medium Voltage switching device including one or more movable contacts operated between a contact open position and a contact closed position by a kinematic chain connected to a contact actuator. The auxiliary/control switches kit box includes: a shaped enclosure adapted to be inserted into and removed from a dedicated volume inside the Medium Voltage switching device; the shaped enclosure housing one or more auxiliary/control switches electrically connected to corresponding one or more terminal boards; the one or more terminal boards facing toward the outside of the shaped enclosure from a first face of the shaped enclosure; the one or more auxiliary/control switches each including a pair of auxiliary/control switch contacts that can be linearly operated by an auxiliary/control switch actuator between a normally open (NO) position and a normally closed (NC) position; a mechanical coupling system mechanically connected to the auxiliary/control switch actuator to linearly displace it between the NO position and the NC position; the mechanically coupling system having one or more operating levers protruding outside the shaped enclosure from a second face thereof and being adapted to cooperate with the kinematic chain of the Medium Voltage switching device and follow it during the movement from the contact open position and the contact closed position.

Auxiliary/control switches kit box for a medium voltage switching device

An electric terminal for an electric pole unit of a switching device, the electric terminal being adapted to be electrically connected to a current breaking unit of the electric pole unit and to an external conductor and being adapted to be inserted in a corresponding shaped port of an insulating housing of the electric pole unit. The electric terminal comprises one or more first coupling surfaces mating with one or more second coupling surfaces of the insulating housing, the first coupling surfaces abutting against the second coupling surfaces when the electric terminal is inserted in the corresponding shaped port of the insulating housing in such a way to obtain a mechanical coupling by friction between the electric terminal and the insulating housing.

A medium voltage pole assembly which includes a supporting frame, a pole insulator having a first and a second electrical terminal protruding therefrom, and a pole body housed within the pole insulator and having a first and a second electrical contact couplable and uncouplable with each other and respectively electrically connected to the first and second electrical terminal. The supporting frame includes first coupling means including a first coupling surface and the pole insulator includes second coupling means including one or more flaps slidingly couplable to the first coupling surface and mechanically fixing the pole insulator to the supporting frame.

Medium voltage pole assembly

Systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of contactors are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a contactor including an electric pole, a pair of plungers, and a pair of opening springs. The electric pole includes a fixed yoke member and a movable yoke member arranged respectively at a proximal position and a distal position with respect to a movable contact. The fixed yoke member includes a pair of through holes. The pair of second plungers are inserted in a corresponding through hole passing through the fixed yoke member and symmetrically positioned with respect to a main symmetry plane of the contactor, which is parallel to a displacement axis of the movable contact and perpendicular to a displacement plane of the movable contact. The pair of opening springs are symmetrically positioned with respect to the main symmetry plane.
