Optical system and method for operating an optical system

A contactless visualization system for a microscope for eye surgery includes an ophthalmic loupe positionable in front of a patient's eye and supplies a real and vertically and laterally inverted image of the fundus in an intermediate image plane observable with the microscope. The loupe includes first and second lens elements. When positioned in front of the eye, the first lens element is closer to the eye than the second. A wall extending from the first to the second lens element has a free end in a form of a mount which holds the second lens element. The wall has a passage opening formed therein for removing liquid possibly present in an intermediate space between the first lens element and the second lens element. The first lens element has a boundary surface facing the second lens element. The passage opening includes a lower edge bordering on the boundary surface of the first lens element.

Contactless visualization system for a surgical microscope for eye surgery

A surgical microscope for generating an image of an object region includes an eyepiece and an objective conjointly defining a viewing beam path, an image capturing device and a beam path switching device for out-coupling image information. The switching device is switchable between a first switching state wherein light in the viewing beam path is split into a first component along a first beam path to the eyepiece at an intensity ITand a second component along a second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity ITand a second switching state wherein the light in the viewing beam path is deflected into the second beam path to the image capturing device at an intensity IU. A mount for an optical apparatus having an image recording unit and an image rendering unit includes a first securing device for the recording unit, a second securing device for the rendering unit, and a connecting rail interconnecting the securing devices. The connecting rail is arranged so as to be displaceable in the y-direction in relation to the second securing device via a linear actuator. The first securing device includes a rotation device arranged so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation extending in the x-direction. An input coupling module selectively couples a beam path into a first or second stereoscopic component beam in a surgical microscope having an optical interface for guiding a beam path to be coupled-in. The input coupling module has a first beam splitter arranged in the first component beam and a second beam splitter arranged in the second component beam. The input coupling module contains an adjustable optics assembly, which selectively guides a beam path provided at the optical interface for coupling into the first or second component beam to the first beam splitter or the second beam splitter. The adjustable optics assembly includes an optical element displaceable by a linear movement from a first position to a second, position, and vice versa, for switching the beam path. The invention relates to a tube for a surgical microscope. The tube has a base part, an intermediate part, which is pivotable about a rotational axis on the base part, and an ocular part which is pivotable about a rotational axis on the intermediate part. The imaging beam path is guided through the base part, the intermediate part and the pivotable ocular part. The tube has a tube lens system which transfers a parallel imaging beam paths into an intermediate image. The parallel imaging beam path enters via an opening in a connecting piece of the base part. The tube has a first displaceable mirror element which can be moved about the rotational axis on the base part. The tube lens system is a telesystem which has a lens unit having positive refractive power and a lens unit having negative refractive power.

A stereomicroscope includes a stereoscopic main observer beam path having a main observer zoom system, a stereoscopic co-observer beam path having a co-observer zoom system, and a main objective common to the main observer beam path and the co-observer beam path. The co-observer beam path is coupled out from the main observer beam path via a geometrical beam splitter arranged between the main objective and the main observer zoom system, wherein in the co-observer beam path the co-observer zoom system succeeds the geometrical beam splitter and is constructed from lenses having dimensions such that both a first and a second stereoscopic partial beam of the co-observer beam path in each case pass through the lenses.
