A system is provided comprising a carton conveyor and a bypass carton accumulator adjacent to, and interfaced with, the carton conveyor. The bypass carton accumulator may comprise: a carton pick apparatus comprising a carton pick head; at least one stop device comprising a stopper movable between a first and a second position; and a storage apparatus. When in the first position, the stopper does not interfere with the flow of cartons along the conveyor and when in the second position, the stopper engages with a carton to stop a flow of cartons along the conveyor. The carton pick apparatus may be configured to pick up via the carton pick head a set of cartons from a pick-up zone of the carton conveyor after the stopper has moved to its second position and place the set of cartons in the storage apparatus.

Bypass carton accumulator

A process is provided for heat sealing substrate layers. The process comprising: conveying an upper die having a heating conductor and a lower die having a heating conductor to a sealing region, where a substrate is applied to one or more items; activating a power supply system; monitoring, via the power supply system, a temperature of the heating conductor of the upper die when in the sealing region; monitoring, via the power supply system, a temperature of the heating conductor of the lower die when in the sealing region, wherein the monitoring of the temperature of the heating conductor of the upper die is performed independently of the monitoring of the temperature of the heating conductor of the lower die; supplying power to the upper die based on the temperature of the heating conductor of the upper die; supplying power to the lower die based on the temperature of the heating conductor of the lower die, wherein the power is supplied to the lower die independently of the power being supplied to the upper die.

The present invention is an array of sanitary tissue products. The array of sanitary tissue products comprises a first packaged article and a second packaged article. The first packaged article comprises a first rolled sanitary tissue product wound onto a first fibrous core. The second packaged article comprises a second rolled sanitary tissue product wound onto a second fibrous core. The second rolled sanitary tissue product is wound loosely relative to the first rolled sanitary tissue product. The second fibrous core has an axial strength greater than the first fibrous core.

The present disclosure is directed to a fibrous core comprising a fluted layer; and a liner disposed on the fluted layer. The fluted layer and the liner are helically wound defining a longitudinal core axis.

A fibrous structure having a basis weight ranging from between about 15 g/mand about 120 g/mand at least one embossed ply having a surface thereof is disclosed. The surface has a surface area comprising from about 10.0 percent to about 20.0 percent line embossments. Also, a fibrous structure having at least two plies is disclosed. One of the two plies has a basis weight ranging from between about 15 g/mand about 120 g/mand at least one embossed ply having a surface thereof. A fibrous structure having a density (measured at 95 g/in) of less than about 0.60 g/cmand at least one embossed ply having a surface thereof is disclosed. The present disclosure is directed to a method for manufacturing a fibrous core comprises: providing a strip comprising at least one liner, and at least one fluted layer, wherein the strip has a leading edge, a trailing edge, a first strip face, a second strip face, and a strip axis substantially parallel to at least one of the leading edge and the trailing edge; feeding the strip to a mandrel having a central longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction; winding the strip onto the mandrel such that the leading edge of the strip overlaps the trailing edge of the strip to form a fibrous core comprising an inner surface, an outer surface, and a longitudinal core axis; and adhering the leading edge to the trailing edge of the strip to from an overlap portion having an overlap width.

Embossed fibrous structures and methods for making same

A method for making a multiply fibrous structure. The method comprising the steps of: depositing a slurry of pulp fibers onto a Fourdrinier wire running at a first velocity V; transferring the web from the Fourdrinier wire to at least a first molding member moving at a second velocity, V, slower than the first velocity, V. The molding member comprises a substantially continuous relatively low density network at least partially defining a plurality of relatively high density, irregularly shaped, discrete elements situated in an irregular pattern. The embryonic web is partially dried, adhered to a Yankee dryer surface, creped from Yankee dryer and reeled at a velocity, V, that is faster than that (V) of the Yankee dryer.
