An operating method for a dual-voltage battery of a vehicle includes a plurality of battery cell blocks and a battery electronic system with a plurality of power switching elements for optionally connecting individual, in any case individual battery cell blocks, in parallel and/or in series, wherein a first battery cell block and at least one additional battery cell block of a group of battery cell blocks are connected in parallel in a first connection arrangement in order to provide a first voltage and in series in a second connection arrangement in order to provide a second voltage, wherein a parallel connection switch and a series connection switch are associated with the first battery cell block of the group of battery cell blocks to produce the parallel and/or series connection.

Operating method for a dual-voltage battery

A dual voltage power supply having at least one battery with multiple battery modules and a first set of switches for connecting the battery modules in series to thereby provide a first voltage to a first circuit in case the first switches are closed and to disconnect the series connection case the first switches are open. At least one connection tap is connected to one of the battery modules to provide its voltage to a second circuit operating at a lower voltage than the first circuit and being connected in parallel by a second set of switches to other battery modules. The other battery modules are connected in parallel to each other and one of the battery modules, in case the second set of switches is closed and are not connected in parallel in case the second set of switches is open, can be charged with off the shelf generators.

Automotive dual voltage battery charging system

A method is described for producing an electrical connection between a plug element and a printed circuit board. A plug end of the at least one plug element is inserted in an opening extending through the printed circuit board. A solder, preferably in the form of solder paste, is applied essentially from above to at least parts of the opening or the area surrounding the opening. The connection between the board and the plug end is achieved by melting the solder. Prior to melting of the solder and/or application of the solder, the plug end is introduced into the opening in the printed circuit board essentially from below, and is held therein by a retaining arrangement such that during melting the solder enters the opening from above and contacts the plug end.

Method for producing an electrical connection between a plug element and a printed circuit board

An armature-mounting arrangement for a hinged-armature relay includes a yoke (3), an armature (1) positioned at an end portion of the yoke, and an armature holding spring (2) which has at least one switching contact thereon and which is mechanically coupled to the armature. The armature holding spring is formed as one piece with a return spring (5) for the armature and also with spring hooks (4). Each of the spring hooks has a first portion (4a) lying substantially flat on an outer side of the armature and a second portion (4b) extending from the first portion about the armature and lying almost flat against an outer surface of the yoke. This armature-mounting arrangement is a particularly uncomplicated and cost effective structure and its operation is also not particularly sensitive to fabrication tolerances of the armature and the yoke.

Armature-mounting arrangement for a hinged-armature relay

An electromagnetic hinged-armature relay comprises a contact spring (2) which is arranged on and attached to an armature (1). The contact spring serves as a switching contact spring and has a bounce dampener which is in the form of a swing element (3) made as one piece with the contact spring which greatly reduces bounces of contacts and contact wear resulting therefrom.

An electromagnetic relay constructed as a hinged-armature relay in which an armature (5) is attached to a flat-shaped spring (6) which spring is constructed as one piece to serve both as a switch-contact spring and as a return spring and which is mechanically and electrically coupled to a load-current terminal (11), with the load-current terminal having a spring affixing area (11a) and a terminal area (11b), wherein the spring affixing area and the terminal area of the load-current terminal are bendable relative to one another. An armature support for a hinged relay has beveled bearing surfaces which force the armature, when the armature is displaced, into a rotational movement about a center of a switch contact. In this manner, structural tolerances of the hinged relay, as well as axial play in the armature support, are balanced out to avoid a switch contact displacement.
