Disclosed is a flywheel intended for energy storage, including a cylindrical mass body including a main material with compression resistance of at least 25 MPa, such as concrete, the body being surrounded on at least one portion of the outer surface thereof with fibers, the material that makes up the fibers having a tensile strength of at least 100 Mpa. The tension of winding the fibers around the body leads to the compression of the main material, and the tension applied to the fibers is such that the stress exerted on the material of the mass body is at least equal to half of the maximum acceptable stress, the maximum stress being lower than the compression yield strength of the material that makes up the mass body, the material of the latter thus being pre-stressed.

Flywheel intended for energy storage

An electromagnetic actuator has two electromagnets controlled by an electronic circuit and controlling a ferromagnetic slab, the slab co-operating with two electrodes connected to the electronic circuit to form a capacitive sensor. The two electrodes and the electronic circuit are carried by two printed circuit boards secured to the electromagnets.

Electromagnetic actuator, and a hydraulic antivibration support

This is a hydraulic anti-vibration mount intended to be interposed between a vehicle body and an engine and in particular comprising an armature which can be secured to the body, a head which can be secured to the engine, a thick frustoconical wall linking a circular bearing surface of the armature to the head and defining with the latter a working chamber, and a diaphragm defining with the armature a compensation chamber which communicates with the chamber via a restricted passage. An active attenuation device is also provided, the device comprising a piston immersed in the working chamber, a member for exciting this piston and an electronic circuit for controlling this excitation member. The armature forms on the one hand a double pan constituting the ends, arranged side by side, of the two chambers and on the other hand a housing containing side by side the excitation member and its electronic control circuit.

Hydraulic anti-vibration devices

The variable-reluctance servocontrolled linear motor comprises an electromagnet formed by a shell and by a winding around a displacement path, a magnetic portion mobile in the direction of displacement, guided mechanically so as to have a single degree of freedom with respect to the shell, under the effect of the force exerted by the electromagnet. A detector circuit is formed by an inductive or capacitive measurement sensor for the instantaneous value of the air gap and delivers a signal sd representative of the displacement of the mobile magnetic portion. A subtracter circuit receives a displacement control signal e and the signal sd representative of the displacement in order to deliver a displacement error signal .epsilon. for the mobile magnetic portion. A current amplifier circuit receives the error signal .epsilon. and delivers a supply current to the winding. A restoring element for the mobile magnetic portion exerts on the latter a restoring force opposed to the force exerted by the electromagnet. The restoring element can be mechanical or constituted by a counter-electromagnet.

Variable-reluctance servocontrolled linear motor

The hydraulic antivibration device is designed to be interposed between the body (9) and the engine (10) of a vehicle. It comprises an annular rigid strength member (1), a rigid rod (2) passing through the strength member, an annular spring (3) resting on the strength member and interposed between the strength member and the rod which passes through the spring, a membrane (4) carried by the strength member and co-operating with an annular wall (6) to define an enclosure disposed above the spring, an intermediate rigid partition (7) carried by the strength member and subdividing the inside of the enclosure into two chambers (A, B), a mass of liquid filling the two chambers and the narrow passage, a first disk (6) secured to the base of the annular wall, and a second disk (2.sub.1) secured to the head of the rod, and resting on the spring. A control apparatus is provided causing at will the two disks to move apart from each other axially.

Hydraulic antivibration devices

A hydraulic antivibration device comprises, between its two chambers, two passages (8, 10) connected in parallel, and it also comprises a rotary shutter (11) having the same axis (X) as the device and suitable for opening or closing, at will, at least one of the two passages and also slots that put the chambers into communication with a decoupling shutter member. Angular displacement of the shutter is controlled by successively exciting two small antagonistic electromagnets (14, 15) housed in the outer portion of the intermediate partition (7) and suitable for attracting a ferromagnetic armature (16) of the shutter member, which armature is urged towards an intermediate position by a small spring (17).

A device for attenuating the periodic vibrations of a mechanical structure adapted to obtain cancellation of periodic vibrations of rotating machines including at least one transducer, detecting original vibrations, delivering a detected signal, a detector of the periodicity of these vibrations delivering a synchronizing signal, and a control circuit and a transducer generating compensation vibrations which are applied to the mechanical structure. The control circuit includes a circuit for synchronous filtering of the detected signal, controlled by the synchronizing signal and delivering a filtered signal whose frequency spectrum contains only the instaneous fundamental frequency of the detected signal. A circuit for regulating the filtered signal delivers an antivibration-control signal applied to a generating transducer in order to minimize the amplitude of the detected signal.

Device for attenuating the periodic vibrations of a mechanical structure

A hydraulic anti-vibration support includes a rigid frame 3, a head 1, a frustoconical elastomer wall 6 connecting the cylinder to the head, a membrane 7 carried by the cylinder, a partition 8 separating the inside of the resulting liquid-filled enclosure into a working chamber A and a compensating chamber B, a throttled passage 9 interconnecting the two chambers, a small displacement piston 12, and an electrical exciter 14 suitable for setting up counter-vibrations in the piston. An air-filled capsule 19 defined by the piston and by a rigid wall 20 secured to the frame by a slotted spacer 21 is immersed in the working chamber, the piston being disposed between the wall and the exciter, and the periphery of the piston being connected to the wall by a sealed and deformable annular gasket 23.

An elastic connecting bar for a system for active control of vibrations and which is apt to be subjected, through one of its ends, to vibrational loads exerted along its axis and which is linked by its other end to a structure which it is expedient to isolate from vibrations. The bar includes a tubular part 12 linked to one of the ends 14 of the bar and surrounding a part 15 of smaller section linked to the opposite end 16, and wherein these two parts 12, 15 are transversely linked to one another by at least two elastic bearings 10, 11 which are clasped between, them and axially spaced. The active system is used for control of vibrations acting between said parts 12, 15.

A hydraulic vibration-free coupler comprises an inner tubular strength member (1), an outer tubular strength member (2) and an intermediate body (3) made of elastomer defining fluid-tight chambers connected to each other by restricted passages (9). Natural vibrations are actively attenuated by artificially imposing appropriate vibrations to a magnetic ring (7) which moves freely in all possible transverse directions, but not axially, by excitation of electrical coils (5) circumferentially distributed around the ring on the inside of the outer tubular strength member (2). This is done along one or both of two separate diametral directions E and F.

Hydraulic vibration-free couplers and in damping assemblies equipped

A hydraulic antivibratory support is disclosed comprising two rigid frames, an elastomer structure forming therewith two sealed chambers, a restricted passage causing the two chambers to communicate permanently with each other, a liquid mass filling the two chambers and the restricted passage, a rigid ferromagnetic movable member partially defining one of the two chambers, and electric coils for applying alternating forces to this movable member, said movable member being guided axially and the air gaps being isolated from the liquid. A control system is provided making the electric energization of the coils dependent on the axial movements of the movable member itself by means of a sensor so as to reduce movements of the movable member.
