An autonomous vacuum cleaner comprising a main body defining a first axis and housing a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, an airflow path between the dirty air inlet and the clean air outlet and a separating apparatus arranged in the air flow path between the dirty air inlet and the clean air outlet, the separating apparatus defining a second axis, wherein the separating apparatus is oriented so that the second axis is substantially parallel with the first axis of the main body and wherein a portion of the separating apparatus protrudes from a forward portion of the main body of the vacuum cleaner.

Autonomous cleaning appliance

An autonomous vacuum cleaner having a bump detection system, the vacuum cleaner comprising a chassis having traction means for supporting the chassis on a surface and a cleaner head defining a dirty air inlet, and a body carried on the chassis and being movable relative to it in response to a collision with an obstacle, the body including at least one of an airflow generator for generating an airflow along an airflow path from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and a separating apparatus positioned in the airflow path to separate dirt from the air, wherein the vacuum cleaner further comprises sensing means for sensing relative movement between the chassis and the body.

Autonomous vacuum cleaner

An autonomous vacuum cleaner comprising a main body comprising a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, an airflow path extending between the dirty air inlet and the clean air outlet, a separating apparatus arranged in the airflow path between the dirty air inlet and the clean air outlet, and an airflow generator for generating an airflow along the airflow path from the dirty air inlet to the clean air outlet. The airflow generator has a discharge portion which discharges airflow into a chamber formed in the main body, the chamber including an opening that is closable by a removable panel, wherein a power source is receivable within the chamber formed in the main body and is removable from the chamber through the opening.

A hand washing station has a receptacle with a raised or domed portion, a fluid dispenser for dispensing a relatively hot fluid, a drain for draining fluid from the receptacle, and a cooling jacket for conveying a relatively cold fluid beneath the raised portion of the receptacle. The raised portion of the receptacle forms part of a heat exchanger for transferring heat from the relatively hot fluid within the receptacle to the relatively cold fluid within the cooling jacket.

A hand washing station has a fluid dispenser for dispensing a relatively hot fluid into a receptacle having a drain. The fluid dispenser is arranged to dispense fluid on to a heat exchanger located above the drain. A relatively cold fluid is conveyed adjacent or over an internal surface of the heat exchanger.
