The device comprises a parallelpipedal junction block (10A) with opening onto one of its surfaces a respective channel (11A) each housing one of a plurality of opto-electronic components (9). The junction block further comprises a single groove (12A) opening onto the opposite surface and a support member (13A) and a sealing member (14A) superposed one on the other in the groove. The support members and the sealing members each have a channel aligned with each channel of the junction block, to accommodate respective optical fibers (4) to connect to the opto-electronic components. Each fiber which is fitted with a terminal (5) with a collar (5') intermediate its ends. A metal sleeve (17A) with resilient longitudinal tongues (18A) is fitted in each channel of the support member to lock the fiber in position by snap-action engagement of the tongues under the collar.

Opto-electronic connection device

A versatile electric connector with an automatic stripper and additional gripping means. The electric connector (1) has at least one automatic stripper (2) associated with a gripping means (5) with paired lyre-shaped parts (5L, 5L') the bases of the two lyre-shaped parts of a pair (5LA, 5L'A) being parallel and face to face so as to allow a extra connection to be set up in any one of three perpendicular directions at the lyre-shaped parts.

Versatile electric connector

The device having a hermaphroditic assembly of two identical components (10, 10') for attaching the end (11) of a multiple conductor cable perpendicularly to an equipment (13) such as a junction block, connector, etc . . . Each component (10) has an arrangement (A) adapted for fixing it to the equipment and a cable clamping arrangement (B) coupled to the fixing arrangement by a semi-rigid link (C). The cable clamping arrangement comprises a bar (15) having at one end a notched tongue (20) and at the other end a locking aperture (18). After fitting the components (10) to the equipment, they are clamped together by means of a pincer movement (P) and the cable is then firmly attached to the equipment.

The switch includes an electromagnet (9) with a moving core (10) which is retracted when voltage is applied. A configuration of three levers (11, 12, 13) which are fixed together in pairs when the switch is cocked. The first lever (11) is integral with the rotary control shaft (3). The second lever (12) pivots on a stationary middle shaft (23) due to the respective actions of the core being released and of an antagonistic spring (15). The third lever (13) pivots on the end shaft (28), is provided with a return spring (16) and holds the control shaft (3) and the first lever (11) in position by being fixed to the other two levers. The third lever which has a middle lock projection (29) for the first lever also has a transversal passage (24) with a notch (27) in which the free end (25) of the second lever (12) can move, said free end itself having a hooked portion (26) which co-operates with the notch (27) in the tripped position and allowing manual or automatic return to the rest position.

Means for fixing a device on supporting a channel bar comprise a leg (5), a fixing component (2) and a compression spring (3). The fixing component has a rod (12) and a body (11) which slide in a longitudinal guide (24) in the base (1) of a housing for said device to be fixed on the bar. Two recesses (9, 10) are provided in the base. The compression spring is installed in a partially compressed condition in the first recess (9) and the rod (12) passes through it, said rod forming shoulders (19) with the body. The end of the rod (12) is fitted with a pin (4). The fixing component has two hooks (13, 14) and a guide (15) which co-operates with a groove (27) of the base to make the fixing component captive.

Structure for fixing a device on a supporting channel bar

A terminal comprises a slotted bolt (7), and a cap (10) therefor. The cap has one end closed by a plate (14) with two lugs (11,12) projecting perpendicularly from the periphery of the plate (14) and a central boss (13) with two plane faces (18) opposite the gaps between the lugs. The plane faces have hooks (58) reaching part of the way up them, and the end of the boss beyond the hooks is polygonal. The tool includes a torque limiter (25), a casing (28), and a drive member (29) passing through the casing and made fast to the torque limiter. The casing has two lugs (44,45) and a lock (30) with hooks (39,39') that engage the hooks on the cap. The lugs on the casing fit in between the lugs on the cap, and the drive member has a sleeve (31) at its cap-engaging end with a socket (32) shaped to receive the central boss (13).
