A crankcase gas separator includes a separator housing delimiting at least part of a separation space and forming at least part of a liquid phase receiving circumferential inner wall surface, a wall member forming at least part of a gas passage, and a gas pressure regulating valve including at least part of the gas passage. The separator includes a separate tube member extending from a position radially inside the inner wall surface into the gas passage. A liquid tight seal between the separate tube member and the wall member is formed by a joint arranged radially outside the inner wall surface.

Crankcase gas separator

A centrifugal separator for cleaning gas containing contaminants includes a stationary casing, enclosing a separation space through which a gas flow is permitted, a gas inlet extending through the stationary casing and permitting supply of the gas to be cleaned, a rotating member including a plurality of separation members arranged in said separation space and being arranged to rotate around an axis of rotation, a gas outlet configured to permit discharge of cleaned gas and including an outlet opening through a wall of the stationary casing, a drainage outlet configured to permit discharge of liquid impurities separated from the gas to be cleaned, and a drive member, for rotating the rotating member. The centrifugal separator further includes a control unit configured to control the drive member to rotate the rotating member at a first speed during a separation phase and at a second speed, which is higher than the first speed, during a cleaning phase to remove clogging on or between said separation members, wherein the cleaning phase is shorter in time than the separation phase.

High speed cleaning of a centrifugal separator

A housing for a centrifugal separator is disclosed, wherein the centrifugal separator is configured to separate a liquid phase from crankcase gases of an internal combustion engine using a rotor. The housing includes a housing body forming a separation chamber, an opening in the housing body, a bearing retainer arranged at the opening, and a bearing inserted into the bearing retainer. The bearing is configured to receive a rotor shaft extending into the separation chamber. The bearing retainer includes a bearing seat portion provided with a number of plastically deformed zones retaining the bearing in the bearing retainer. A centrifugal separator and a method of retaining a bearing of a rotor shaft in a housing for a centrifugal separator are also disclosed.

Housing for a centrifugal separator

A centrifugal separator for separating a liquid phase from crankcase gases of an internal combustion engine includes a separation chamber, a rotor shaft, a rotor inside the separation chamber, an inlet for crankcase gases, a gas outlet, and a liquid outlet for separated liquid phase. The centrifugal separator also includes a liquid outlet chamber, a check valve, and a rotating member. The liquid outlet chamber forms an individual chamber and is arranged in fluid communication with the separation chamber via a liquid passage. The rotating member is connected to the rotor shaft and is arranged inside the liquid outlet chamber. The liquid outlet forms an outlet of the liquid outlet chamber. The check valve is arranged in the liquid outlet.

The present invention concerns a brake mechanism of a disc brake received in a caliper and a method for controlling the force amplification for the brake mechanism. The brake mechanism comprises a lever actuated by a brake actuator. The lever is acting on a cross bar by means of an intermediate part. The lever and the intermediate part have a line of contact moving along a circular arc during an application stroke of the brake mechanism. The cross bar of the brake mechanism is closely guided and is only moveable in the thrust direction and in the tangential direction of the brake disc. The force amplification of the brake mechanism is adapted to the force characteristics of the brake actuator.
