The invention relates to a power assisting steering system for a vehicle having at least a first and a second steered wheel, the system comprising a control unit configured to receive input on a desired change of steering angle, a first and a second power generating device configured to provide power assisted steering for turning the first and the steered wheel, respectively. The control unit, in response to the received input, is configured to alternatingly activate and deactivate the first and second power generating device, respectively, so as to repeatedly and alternatingly provide power assistance to the first and the second steered wheel as the first and second steered wheels are turned to achieve the desired change of steering angle. The invention also relates to a method of operating a power assisting steering system.

The present invention relates to a method for determining a desired speed of a vehicle (), preferably an autonomous vehicle. The vehicle comprises a shock absorber arrangement (), preferably an hydraulic shock absorber arrangement, having an elastic hysteresis. The method comprises&#x2014;obtaining () a reference value indicative of the energy dissipated by the shock absorber arrangement () in a reference driving condition of a vehicle and&#x2014;determining () a speed of the vehicle for which the value indicative of the energy dissipated by the shock absorber arrangement () in a similar driving condition is expected to fall within a predetermined energy dissipation range, using said reference value.

The present invention relates to a method for determining a functional status of a vehicle shock absorber arrangement (). The method determines a difference between force values during compression and expansion of the vehicle shock absorber arrangement (), whereby the shock absorber arrangement () can be determined to be degraded if the difference is below a predetermined threshold.

An instrument is connected to a driving-in tool or drilling tool for elements on or in the form of an implant or drill for dentine. The tool includes an electric motor, the torque of which can be sensed, and which can be controlled by a control unit. A display unit is arranged so as to partly or fully display a curve representing the driving-in function performed. A tightening function is determined by a scale based on the slope of the curve, wherein a flatter slope represents a lower quality function and a steeper slope represents a higher quality function. A frictional resistance which exists for an element during the driving-in of the element can be determined in order to allow secure locking (preload) of the element by tension in the material of the element. A torque-time curve can be used assess the bone quality of bone being implanted or drilled.
