A method in a User Equipment (UE) configured with Discontinuous Reception (DRX) and a method in a network node for Downlink (DL) scheduling of the UE. The UE is further configured with Semi Persistent Scheduling (SPS) which reduces the latency in Uplink (UL) transmission. The network node monitors a receipt of UL data in any of the SPS resources granted to the UE, a Wake-up grant or assignment is sent on the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), and a HARQ-information is sent in response to the received UL data. The Wake-up grant/assignment triggers a drx-Inactivity timer to run in the UE. While the UE is DRX active, the network node may schedule a DL data transmission and send a DL assignment and the DL data to the UE.

Method and network nodes for enabling downlink scheduling for a SPS and DRX configured UE

Method and transmitting node () for handling transmissions to a receiving node () in a first service and in a second service over a radio channel where feedback signaling is employed to indicate either an acknowledgement, ACK, or a non-acknowledgement, NACK, of correct reception at the receiving node. A first Outer Loop Compensation, OLC, is employed in a first link adaptation for the first service and a second OLC is employed in a second link adaptation for the second service. The first OLC is adjusted () based on feedback () for transmissions in the first service, while the second OLC is adjusted () based on feedback for a repeated (A) subset of the transmissions in the first service before the second service has been activated.

The present disclosure relates to a method for a wireless device configured to perform outer-loop control of a Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH, link. The method comprises obtaining, based on reporting from a UE, actual PDCCH success rate values indicative of the transmission success on a PDCCH for two or more of respective downlink control information, DCI, formats among several DCI formats, obtaining expected PDCCH success probability values indicative of DCI format success probabilities for the two or more DCI formats, obtaining discrepant values for respective of the two or more of said DCI formats by comparing the actual PDCCH success rate values to the expected PDCCH success probability values, determining a PDCCH link outer loop compensation factor by suppressing a higher among the discrepant values, and performing a PDCCH link transmission using the PDCCH link outer loop compensation factor.

It is provided a method performed in a network node of a cellular network also comprising a wireless device, the wireless device being in a discontinuous reception mode comprising receiving periods and idle periods. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting a first control signal to the wireless device during a receiving period for the wireless device; determining that a first control signal is likely to have failed to be correctly received by the wireless device; determining that a second control signal needs to be transmitted to the wireless device, the second control signal corresponding to the first control signal; applying a more robust transmission procedure for the second control signal compared to a corresponding transmission procedure for the first control signal; and transmitting the second control signal to the wireless device.

There is provided mechanisms for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission of a transport block from a network node to a wireless device. A method is performed by the network node. The method comprises detecting a HARQ failure upon having transmitted the transport block to the wireless device, wherein the transport block has been transmitted using a HARQ process. The method comprises transmitting data of the transport block to the wireless device using two mutually different HARQ processes as a result of having detected the HARQ failure. There is also provided a network node configured to perform such a method.

Methods, network node, wireless device, computer programs and computer program products for use with discontinuous reception

A method performed by a network node for preventing a release of a connection from a User Equipment (UE) to the network node, which connection uses a Real Time Protocol (RTP) for media transfer. The network node operates in a wireless communication network and serves the UE. The network node detects a gap in a packet flow of the connection. When the network node has detected the gap in the packet flow, the network node prevents the UE from initiating a release of the connection caused by the gap in the packet flow, by sending a message to the UE, which message forces the UE into a failure. The failure triggers the UE to initiate a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Connection Reestablishment procedure.

Network node and method for avoiding drop of a connection due to RTP timeout

A method performed by a network node for retransmitting a Radio Link Control, Protocol Data Unit (RLC PDU), to a UE is provided. The UE and the network node operate in a wireless communications network. The UE is configured to use Discontinuous Reception (DRX). When an RLC PDU transmitted to the UE is indicated to not being received by the UE, the network node determines () a time until a first DRX on-duration time period that is possible to allow time for Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) operations to complete a retransmission of a Medium Access Control (MAC) PDU. A modified token bucket algorithm in a rate shaper in a wireless communication network allows for the 'borrowing' of tokens, creating the possibility of a token debt, or a token bucket with a negative Token Bucket Counter (TBC) value. In this modified token bucket algorithm, an incoming packet is passed along so long as the TBC is positive, even if the packet must 'borrow' some tokens, driving the TBC negative. Subsequent incoming packets are stalled until the TBC reaches a positive value. The token bucket refills at a known rate; accordingly, the duration of traffic stalling, when the TBC is negative, is known. During this time, the UE is forced into DRX mode, saving battery power by not monitoring DPCCH for traffic that has been halted. The DRX, or sleep, mode may be invoked in several ways.
