The present invention relates to a plate heat exchanger comprising a plate package and a manifold both made of metal. The plate package comprises a plurality of heat exchanger plates stacked between end plates. The heat exchanger plates being sealed to each other and form alternating first plate interspaces for a first medium and second plate interspaces for a second medium. The plate package defines at least two port channels communicating with the first plate interspaces. At least one of the end plates define connection ports communicating with a respective port channel. The manifold defines a port opening, a distant opening and a flow passage extending between the port opening and the distant opening. The manifold being fixedly attached to one of the end plates such that the port opening of the manifold covers one of the connection ports. The manifold being made by additive manufacturing, moulding or casting.

A method of making an end-piece for a plate heat exchanger, wherein the end-piece includes a frame part having inner and outer portions, and an intermediate portion arranged between the inner and outer portions, with the outer wall surface of the inner portion being arranged to face a first surface of a package of heat transfer plates comprising the plate heat exchanger, and the first surface having a center portion and a peripheral portion encircling the center portion. The method includes extruding the frame part with plural cavities in the intermediate portion of the frame part that extend in the extrusion direction of the frame part and that are parallel to the frame part axis, with outer dimensions of the outer wall surface of the inner portion configured to be at least as large as outer dimensions of the center portion of the first surface heat transfer plate package.

An end-piece for a plate heat exchanger comprises a frame part having an inner portion, an outer portion and an intermediate portion arranged between the inner and outer portions. An outer wall surface of the inner portion faces a first surface of a package of heat transfer plates comprised in the plate heat exchanger. The first surface has a center portion and a peripheral portion encircling the center portion. The frame part is extruded and the intermediate portion of the frame part comprises a first number of cavities extending in an extrusion direction of the frame part. The extrusion direction is parallel to an axis of the frame part. Further, outer dimensions of the outer wall surface of the inner portion are at least as large as outer dimensions of the center portion of the first surface of the package of heat transfer plates.

A heater comprises an inlet for a medium to be heated, an outlet for the medium, and at least two cassettes. Each cassette comprising a first plate comprising a first main surface and a second plate comprising a second main surface. The first and second plates are attached to each other and enclose a respective flow channel for the medium. The cassettes are arranged beside each other with a space between the cassettes for an electric heating element. The electric heating element abuts the first main surface of one of the cassettes and the second main surface of the adjacent cassette. The heater comprises two distance members extending between the one cassette and the adjacent cassette. The distance members define the space.

The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger including a plate package, which includes a number of first and second heat exchanger plates which are joined to each other and arranged side by side in such a way that first and second plate interspaces are formed. At least two injectors are provided, each injector being arranged to supply a first fluid to at least one of the first plate interspaces in the at least one plate package and at least one valve is arranged to control the supply of the first fluid to the at least two injectors.

A plate package made according to the method includes first heat exchanger plates and second heat exchanger plates. Each heat exchanger plate has a first porthole, and the port hole of at least one of the heat exchanger plates is surrounded by a peripheral rim. The first heat exchanger plates and the second heat exchanger plates, are joined to each other and arranged side by side in such a way that the peripheral rims together define an inlet channel extending through the plate package. The peripheral rim of the first and/or the second heat exchanger plates has at least one through hole, forming a fluid passage allowing a communication between the inlet channel and the first plate interspaces. The at least one through hole is made in a condition in which the first and the second heat exchanger plates have been joined to each other to form the plate package.

Method of making a plate package for a plate heat exchanger

A flushing assembly comprising a foundation and a heat exchanging member. The foundation comprises a bowl shape providing an envelope surface defining an upper inlet and a lower outlet, the lower outlet being arranged to communicate with a drainage. The heat exchanging member comprises a helical channel defined between an upper and a lower wall, the helical channel having an extension along the envelope surface of the bowl shaped foundation, and the helical channel being arranged to be provided with a through flow of a secondary fluid. The flushing assembly is configured to provide a helical channel for a primary fluid extending between the envelope surface of the foundation and the lower wall of the heat exchanging member for guiding the primary fluid there through from the upper inlet to the lower outlet towards the drainage, thereby allowing heat exchange between the primary fluid and the secondary fluid.

A plate heat exchanger includes a plate package having first and second heat exchanger plates. The plates are joined to each other and arranged side by side so that a first plate interspace exists between each pair of adjacent first and second heat exchanger plates, and a second plate interspace is formed between each pair of adjacent second and first heat exchanger plates. The first and the second plate interspaces are separated from each other and provided side by side in an alternating order. Substantially each heat exchanger plate has at least a first porthole forming a first inlet channel to the first plate interspaces. At least two injectors are arranged in a wall portion of the first inlet channel and extend from the exterior of the plate package to the first inlet channel interior, and each injector supplies a fluid to more than one of the first plate interspaces.
