The invention concerns a wearable devicecomprising a sensoradapted for sensing a body part movement, a controller unitadapted for sampling and processing data from the sensorin order to detect a body part movement, and communication meansfor communicating with at least one external device. The controller unitis arranged to trigger at least voice capturing upon detection of a body part movement. Wearable device, system and method for name recollection

A programmable fuse and fuse panel are described. Unlike conventional fuses and fuse panels, the trip values of the fuses of the panel&#x2014;i.e., the current values at which the fuse trips&#x2014;are field programmable. One of many advantages includes the ability to adaptively set the trip value of a fuse&#x2014;depending on the operating needs of a load device&#x2014;without having to physically exchange the fuse. In an embodiment, electronic fuses are used.

A method and system for transmitting acknowledgments from an acknowledgment queue in a receiving system to a receiving system in response to receipt of a data packet from the receiving system is disclosed. An acknowledgment compressor co-located with an acknowledgment queue of the receiving system compresses a plurality of acknowledgments within the acknowledgment queue into a single acknowledgment packet. The single acknowledgment packet is transmitted from the receiving system to the sending system over a packet data network wherein it is intercepted at some point by an acknowledgment decompressor prior to receipt by the sending system. The acknowledgment decompressor regenerates the plurality of acknowledgments from the single acknowledgment packet and transmits the decompressed plurality of acknowledgments to the sending system.

An arrangement for electrically connecting two pieces of electronic equipment includes a tube-like element that connects a first cage with a second cage. The tube-like element is electrically connected to the two cages and with cables extending between the two cages. The inner diameter is adapted to the combined diameter of the cables.

An antenna for small mobile devices comprises an antenna rod retractable in an antenna cover, the rod having an extended position, when the device operates in an active mode, or a retracted position, when the device operates in a passive mode. The electrical length of the antenna is different in the respective modes. Further, the antenna rod comprises an upper section and a lower section, separated from each other by an intermediate electrically insulating portion, wherein the upper section forms an antenna in a passive mode and the two sections in the active mode.
