According to the disclosure there is provided a method for characterizing an electrical connection between an energy storage device of an electrical or hybrid vehicle and an external power supply. The method may include, in the vehicle, receiving an alternating waveform from the power supply, determining a fundamental frequency of the waveform, determining if the waveform is distorted, and, if it is determined that the waveform is distorted, determining if the distortion is an indication of a loose connection between the vehicle and the power supply. There is further provided a charging system for characterizing an electrical connection between an energy storage device of an electrical or hybrid vehicle and an external power supply.

The disclosure relates to a method for charging an energy storage device in a vehicle using a power supply, the method comprising: determining a first voltage output from the power supply; starting charging; determining a second voltage output from the power supply; determining a first voltage difference based on a difference between the second voltage and the first voltage; after a predetermined time, aborting charging; determining a third voltage output from the power supply; starting charging; determining a fourth voltage output from the power supply; determining a second voltage difference based on a difference between the fourth voltage and the third voltage; determining a deviation value based on a difference between the second difference and the first difference; and based on the deviation value, controlling a charging parameter.

Method and system for controlling charging of an energy storage device

An attachment arrangement for a vehicle comprises a bracket having a first end part and a second end part. The first end part of the bracket is attachable to an inside of a first vehicle body part. The first vehicle body part is attachable to a second vehicle body part. A structural foam is arranged on the second end part of the bracket. The structural foam has an expansion factor such that when the structural foam is heated, the structural foam is expandable from the second end part of the bracket and adherable to the second vehicle body part.

The invention provides a puncturing guide () for guiding a puncturing needle into a target site within the body of a patient. The puncturing guide () comprises a base plate (), a needle guide (), a retainer () for securing the needle guide () to the base plate (), a first segment () of a first semi-sphere, a second segment () of a second semi-sphere, and a needle guide () attached to the second segment (). During a positioning operation, the second segment () slides on the first segment (), so that the needle guide () is movable around the center of the first semi-sphere, which is in level with the underside of the base plate (), thereby providing the possibility to position the tip of a puncturing needle at a puncturing point on the patient's skin and then, in a separate operation, set the entrance angle of the puncturing needle without changing its entrance point.

Guide for a medical device

A catheter includes a tubular body, a ring member, and at least one elongate member. The tubular body has a distal region. The ring member encircles at least a portion of the circumference of the tubular member. The one elongate member has a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end of the elongate member being coupled to the distal region of the tubular body and the proximal end being attached to the ring member. Forming a loop in a distal end of a catheter includes pulling a ring that encircles at least a portion of the circumference of the catheter. The ring is attached to a proximal end of an elongate member, a distal end of the elongate member is attached to a distal end of the catheter, and the elongate member is positioned along the outside surface of the catheter.

Drainage catheter

An apparatus is disclosed for guiding the needle of a tissue sampling device to a target location within the body of a patient. The device permits accurate and easy retrieval of acceptable tissue specimens from locations within the body of a patient which require angling of the needle to reach the target tissue. The apparatus further permits accurate and easy retrieval of tissue specimens from even small pathological changes, and the apparatus can be introduced into the tomograph with the patient to verify correct location of the biopsy needle with respect to the target tissue. The device not only directs the biopsy needle along the desired path but also controls the depth of penetration of the needle to prevent accidental overpenetration of the needle. The guidance device is not limited to the plane normal to the longitudinal axis of the patient but is capable of guiding the needle in a plane which is oblique to the longitudinal axis.
