A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing, a medicament container holder arranged to accommodate a medicament container provided with a medicament delivery member, a power unit arranged to act on the medicament container for expelling a dose of medicament when activated, an activation mechanism operably connected to the power unit. The activation mechanism is capable of activating said power unit and includes a medicament delivery member guard movable in a longitudinal direction in relation to the housing. The activation mechanism also has a force element arranged to bias said medicament delivery member guard to a proximal extended position wherein said medicament delivery member is covered and has a locking mechanism operably arranged to lock the medicament delivery member guard in the extended position, where the locking mechanism has a number of locking elements connected to the medicament delivery member guard and flexible in a generally radial direction.

A medicament delivery device is presented having a body, an axially biased plunger rod provided with a first external thread, an activation member arranged to activate the plunger rod, a tubular medicament scale member receiving the activation member, which tubular medicament scale member is rotatable relative to the body and provided with a visual medicament dose scale, a stop nut that receives the plunger rod, where the stop nut is provided with an internal thread engaging with the first external thread of the plunger rod, and a gear train arrangement. The gear train arrangement couples the stop nut to the tubular medicament scale member for transferring rotational motion of the stop nut to the tubular medicament scale member to convey a measure of axial movement of the plunger rod to provide an indication, on the visual medicament dose scale, of an amount of expelled medicament.

The invention relates to a needle sheath remover comprising a cap () removably attached to a housing of a medicament delivery device, a sheath grabber () connected to said cap and configured to be engageable to a needle sheath () of a medicament container positioned () within said medicament delivery device, wherein the cap and the sheath grabber are axially movable in relation to each other and wherein the sheath grabber and the cap are configured to interact with each other such that upon removal of the cap from the housing, the sheath grabber is capable of engaging and removing said needle sheath.

An injection device has a container holder in a medicament container housing; first and second energy accumulating members in the housing; a slidable sleeve; a plunger holder associated with the first energy accumulating member such that the plunger holder and container holder are axially movable toward a proximal end of the device from an initial position to a position following needle penetration; and a plunger rod operationally associated with the second energy accumulating member such that the plunger rod is axially movable toward the proximal end from a locked position to a position following medicament injection. In the initial position, movement of the plunger holder is inhibited by interaction of a first biasable member with the plunger holder, the first biasable member recoiling when overlapped by an opening and/or recess of the sleeve such that the plunger holder is released.

A cuff for providing compression to a limb includes an outer wall joined to an inner wall to form a bladder, the bladder being provided with means to separate the walls to maintain a path for fluid flow into and out of the bladder characterized in that the separating means are a spacer provided on the interior of at least one wall, which separates the walls when the bladder is deflated.

A medicament delivery device has a housing and a sleeve; a shield within and protruding from the housing; a container having a delivery member, a chamber containing a medicament, and a piston; a drive mechanism having a spring and a plunger rod in contact with the piston; and a container holder having a first locking device releasably connected to a corresponding locking device on the sleeve for holding the holder in an initial state against the drive mechanism and a second locking device surrounded by the sleeve and releasably connected to a corresponding locking device on the plunger rod for protecting the piston from force from the drive mechanism until the holder has moved a certain predetermined distance. The shield releases the first locking device when the shield is pressed against a medicament delivery site, whereby the drive mechanism forces the holder the certain predetermined distance.

A compression device for a limb has a sleeve adapted to surround the limb. The sleeve has an inelastic layer and a cell constructed from an inner part joined to an outer part by one or more side walls. This construction provides a cell with a box-like configuration so that the inner part conforms to the shape of the limb, providing an even pressure to the limb, when the cell is inflated.
