Systems and methods for selecting subcarriers to be used for sub-Physical Resource Block (PRB) transmission and, in some embodiments, for mapping Demodulation Reference Signals (DMRS) to resources on the selected subcarriers are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a radio node for providing sub-PRB transmission comprises selecting two adjacent subcarriers from a set of three allocated subcarriers that are allocated for a sub-PRB transmission that uses Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) Pi/2 Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation using only two adjacent subcarriers out of the set of three allocated subcarriers with Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spread length of 2. In some embodiments, the selection is such that the selected adjacent subcarriers varies, e.g., from one cell to another. In doing so, interference is distributed.

Systems and methods for selecting subcarriers for sub-PRB transmissions

Embodiments herein relate to a method, performed by a network node () in a wireless communication system (), for handling resource allocations for a first User Equipment, UE () out of a set of UEs (). Each of the UEs () in the set of UEs() has a different pre-configured frequency allocation for cyclic transmissions, such as cyclic UL and/or DL transmissions. The network node () determines, based on a data arrival pattern, such as e.g. a packet arrival time, of the cyclic UL transmissions for each of the UEs in the set of UEs (), one or more TTIs, where a collision between transmissions to and/or from two UEs () out of the set of UEs () may occur. The 10 network node () reconfigures the frequency allocation for a first UE () of the two UEs () to overlap, at least partly, with the frequency of a second UE () of the two UEs () for the TTIs other than the TTIs where the collision between the transmissions to and/or from the first and the second UEs () may occur. Embodiments herein further relate to a method, performed by the first UE () out of the set of UEs () in 15 the wireless communication system (), for handling resource allocation for the first UE () out of the set of UEs ().

Network node, user equipment and methods performed therein in a wireless communications network

Systems and methods for recommending a data rate on an uplink or downlink communication channel between the network node and a wireless device in a wireless communications system are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method performed by a wireless device for recommending a data rate on an uplink or downlink communication channel between the wireless device and a network node in a wireless communications system comprises determining to request that the network node recommend a data rate on the uplink or downlink communication channel for the wireless device. Further, the method includes generating a first information element that indicates the request. Also, the first information element is sent via a protocol layer on the uplink communication channel.

Methods and apparatuses for at least reducing an image interference for uplink transmission

A method, wireless device and network node for supporting sub-physical resource block transmissions over a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes receiving an indication of a number of resource units to be used for performing sub-PRB transmissions over the PUSCH. The method further includes mapping the number of RUs to a number of physical resource blocks, PRBs and determining a transport block size, TBS, for a sub-PRB transmission over the PUSCH, based on the mapping of the number of RUs to the number of PRBs. The method also includes transmitting sub-PRB transmissions over the PUSCH according to the determined TBS on the number of RUs.

Apparatus and methods are provided for a wireless device and an access node connected with each other over a wireless connection that has a configured packet delay budget and that transports a packet flow established between the wireless device and another device. In response to determining that the packet delay budget of the wireless connection should be adjusted based on end-to-end packet delay measurement performed by the wireless device communication, the wireless device sends an adjustment indication to the access node, where the adjustment indication includes an adjustment value to be applied by the access node in order to change the packet delay budget of the wireless connection. The adjustment value is provided for power saving operation or coverage enhancement of the wireless device.

One aspect of the disclosure provides a method for a wireless communications network. The method comprises obtaining a first data unit for storage in a packet queue; determining a type of data carried by the first data unit; and re-determining timer values for respective discard timers associated with the one or more data units stored in the packet queue.
