A machining assembly with a drive unit () detachably mountable to the feed module () and moveable along a guide track on a machine stand via the feed module. The feed module is provided with a feed gear wheel () configured for engagement with a cog track on the machine stand. An electric drive motor () for rotating a spindle () and an electric feed motor () for rotating the feed gear wheel are arranged in a housing () of the drive unit. The drive unit comprises a drive member, which is rotatable by the feed motor and which is operatively connectable to the feed gear wheel via a torque transmitting coupling mechanism () when the drive unit is mounted to the feed module so as to allow the feed gear wheel to be rotated under the effect of the feed motor when the drive unit is mounted to the feed module.

A wall saw comprising:&#x2014;a carriage ();&#x2014;a saw arm () pivotally mounted to the carriage;&#x2014;a rotatable spindle () rotatably mounted to the saw arm and configured for connection to a saw blade; and&#x2014;an electric drive motor () for rotating the spindle. The rotor () of the drive motor comprises a rotor hub () which is operatively connected to the output shaft () of the drive motor through a safety clutch () so as to allow torque to be transmitted from the rotor hub to the output shaft via the safety clutch, the safety clutch being configured to allow mutual rotation between the rotor hub () and the output shaft () when said torque reaches a given threshold value. The safety clutch () is accommodated in a space inside the rotor hub ().

A coupling device for coupling together a tool holder () with a rotatable spindle () of a machining machine. The coupling device comprises: &#x2014;a female-shaped coupling part () with an internally cone-shaped section () and a male-shaped coupling part () with an externally cone-shaped section (); &#x2014;an annular groove () arranged in the externally cone-shaped section; &#x2014;locking balls (), which are radially displaceable in radial holes () in the internally cone-shaped section; and &#x2014;a locking sleeve (), which is arranged on the outside of the female-shaped coupling part and which is rotatable between a releasing position, in which the locking balls can be displaced radially to a retracted position while allowing a mutual axial displacement between the coupling parts, and a locking position, in which the locking balls are kept in engagement in said groove while preventing a mutual axial displacement between the coupling parts. The locking sleeve is provided with radially springing guide members (), which co-operates with a respective locking ball.

Coupling device

A core drilling system is disclosed herein in which a torque tube has a groove or keyway which receives a rotating wheel or key to prevent a transmission box and motor from rotating during drilling operation. As such, the operator does not need to hold a stabilizing arm to resist counter rotational forces during the drilling process. The operator may focus on the hole to be cut in a substrate. Additionally, a torque tube stabilizing leg assembly may be secured to the free distal end portion of the torque tube.
