A first User Equipment (UE), a second UE, a first Radio Network Node (RNN), and methods therein for controlling interference between transmissions in a first system and transmissions in a second system. The first system comprises the first UE and the first RNN serving the first UE. The second system comprises the second UE and a second RNN serving the second UE. The first system has a first priority in a first part of a shared spectrum and the second system has a second priority in the first part of the shared spectrum, wherein the first priority is higher than the second priority. The method in the first UE comprises transmitting a signal to a second RNN that is to perform a downlink transmission to the second UE, which signal is configured to control the transmission of the second RNN.

Interference control between different radio communication systems involving user equipments

A method for an access point of a wireless local area network is disclosed for counteracting problems with hidden nodes. The method comprises, for each individual terminal of a plurality of terminals wirelessly connected to the access point, detecting whether that individual terminal is a hidden node for one or more of the other terminals of the plurality of terminals. The method further comprises requesting that individual terminal to apply RTS/CTS signaling for data to be transmitted from that individual terminal to the access point only if it is detected that said individual terminal is a hidden node. A corresponding access point is also disclosed.

A user equipment is provided for a telecommunications system comprising at least a first radio base station. The user equipment controls its transmission power to a first value for a first set of one or more signals sent over a physical channel between the user equipment and the first radio base station, and to a second value for a second set of one or more signals sent over the physical channel between the user equipment and the first radio base station. The first value and said second value are different. In alternative embodiments, the second set of signals are transmitted taking into account information from the serving cell and a neighboring cell, while the first set of signals are transmitted taking into account information from the serving cell only.

In several embodiments, a mobile terminal () is configured to effectively ignore 'UP' transmit power control commands in the event that the mobile terminal () is operating in a power-limited state. An accumulated power control value is adjusted () in response to each transmit power control command that directs a negative adjustment in transmit power. A transmit power control (TPC) method and a user equipment (UE) of a telecommunications network utilizing the TPC method. The UE receives TPC commands intended for traffic and control channels. The present invention increases the interference diversity in systems with the frame structure described above by using frequency hopping sequences that are selected considering characteristics of the channel relating to how the channel varies. According to a first embodiment, the channel characteristics relate to channel coherence time and according to a second embodiment, the channel characteristics relate to channel coherence bandwidth. For channels with long coherence times, the transmission hops back and forth several times during a TTI on the different available frequencies. For channels with wide coherence bandwidths, hopping may be performed between the frequency used by the reference signals and its neighbor frequencies. The present invention relates to a method, arrangements, and a message format for achieving an improved and adaptive reporting of measurements for a communication channel between a transmitter and a receiver unit.
